Week 10 Kitten pics

The kittens turned 10 weeks old today. This is yet another milestone for them, they’ll start leaving to go to new homes now.

This is Kitten 1, he goes to his new home on Sunday. They’re considering naming him Merlin, which I think would be absolutely perfect. I’ll miss him, he’s a sweety, he does something Kenny used to do, which is every time I get out of the shower he follows me around rubbing my legs and licking water droplets off the top of my feet.

This is Oliver, he will be staying with us. 🙂

This is Kitten 3, we’re not sure if he has a home yet or not, his possible adoptive mommy is taking quite a bit of time thinking about the kitten thing, she just recently lost her cat to an unexpected illness so we can understanding needing time.

This is Kitten 4, more than likely she has a home, the same person that’s thinking about taking number 3 fell in love with 4 when she visited. She’s still deciding if she should take 1 kitten or 2.

This is Kitten 5, he goes home tomorrow evening. His new adoptive family is extremely excited and can’t wait to have him home. He’ll be living with a nice family, a husband and wife with 2 kids, a chocolate lab and a guinea pig.

It’s a bittersweet feeling losing them. We’ll miss them but we know they’re going to great homes, we made sure of that. They’ll be loved. I keep remembering how happy we were the day we got Sara and thinking that must be how the kittens new families feel. Hopefully we’ll receive updates from the owners on occasion, and I’ll have new pictures to add to the albums as everyone gets older.

If I had greyhound puppies, there is no way in hell I would give any of them up. So, you’re absolutely right about that bittersweet feeling.
