Vet Visit and a Makeover

Well, Sara had her vet visit on Friday. She got another round of vaccinations, her first heartgard, her first nail clipping and a clean bill of health. The vet said she looked fantastic and that her heart sounded great! Heart murmers are common in goldens so that was great news for us. He also stood at the microscope peering at the fecal sample for awhile, which worried me b/c I’m thinking to myself “what is he looking at, oh no, he found something.” But nope, he stepped back and said “Can’t find a thing”. So our little girl is perfectly healthy, heart murmer and worm free. 🙂

The vet was a really nice guy. We’ve taken our cats to this place for awhile but I’m considering finding a different vet for them. It’s just not all that cat friendly, to me it just doesn’t seem safe for worried, fast, cats! They’re awesome with dogs though. I’m going to look into a cats only vet for the cats instead of the ole’ country, out in podunk farm vet.

Our car is getting a makeover. Hubby is out there now putting the finishing touches on it. I’m waiting on my hair dye to set in or I’d be out there watching. 🙂 Anyway, yesterday we took out the back seat and discovered that hyundai sucks, there was no carpet under the back seat and it was competely uneven and bumpy. Not great for putting a dog carrier. Sooo, we cut a peice of plywood to fit where the backseat was and to reinforce the trunk and make the two areas even with one another. Since we have the two-door hatchback model it gives us quite a bit of cargo space. I’ll have to take a picture once we’re all finished. Hubby is going to order some carpet to cover the plywood and we’re going to buy some sound-dampening material to put under the plywood, right now it sounds like the hatch is open when you drive. It’ll be cool though because now the huge dog crate can face so that she can go in and out through the hatch. Only problem is unless we buy a ramp she won’t be able to jump in until she’s full grown and then once she’s old she probably won’t want to jump in. Hopefull by the time she’s old though we’ll have a Santa Fe or something. We’re not going to be able to afford the Santa Fe as soon as we were hoping. She’s just growing soooo fast!! Anyway, that’s been my weekend thus far. Gotta go rinse this crap out of my hair now! 🙂
