UPS sucks
UPS is now on my shit list. I should list my shit list sometime but not now. Last night my 2003 LOTR calendar was supposed to be delivered. UPS as a general rule, doesn’t show up to our neighborhood until like 4-7pm so I was home and listening for them. 6pm I hear a UPS truck so I peek out the window and go downstairs to wait for him. He seemed to be taking forever and then I heard his truck pull away. “Ok” I thought, “Must have missed something”. So hubby went out and checked all around, the back porch, the front porch, the mailbox and the newspaper box. No calendar.
This morning I wake up and check my tracking information which is as follows:

Um, adverse weather conditions? They were at my house at 6pm!!!!! Not to mention the road was like a little wet but not icy, not snowy, nothing. Adverse weather conditions my ass.
Anyway, it had better show up today, it was shipped from amazon.com on Dec 28th and I’m getting a little po’d. They’ve already sent it to the wrong place once, check this out:

What I want to know is why the hell did amazon.com decide to use UPS? My last calendar I ordered from them was sent USPS and it arrived early!!
UPS and Fed-ex kinda suck around here. Of course at times the USPS sucks as well. UPS has been good in the past but Fed-Ex always sucks. Fed-ex lost our computer from Dell AND they scared the hell out of me with my piccolo. It spent the night in the mailbox because they SAID they delivered it to the front door. The USPS delivered my moms overnight express mail package to me a day late but she got her money back for that one. *sigh* I just want my damned calendar.
So what else is new you ask? I got Christmas money from my dad, which I feel bad about but he did write the check out before my mom got shitty with him so at least I know he didn’t do it b/c of her. That gives us all the money we need to get our puppy plus an extra 30.00 for supplies which I’ll probably spend that on a set of 10.00 bowls I found at Big Lots, some chew bones and maybe food if it stretches that far. I’ve got a ton of stuff to get though but luckily we’ll have plenty of time. We gave all our dog stuff to hubbys mom as a gift with Daphne so we don’t have anything anymore. I’m really looking forward to getting our puppy but it’ll still probably be a few months.
We had a breakthrough with Vicki last night!! I had just cleaned one of my betta tanks and I open the bathroom door to go out (mind you our cat that hates vicki is in the bathroom with us) and I look down and there’s Vicki!!!! This is the first time she’s actually left a room to go into another one. She’s been too afraid in the past. I look down at her and shut the door, put the fishtank down and look around for Sally who is nowhere in site. So I pop the door open and scoop Vicki up, put her on the counter and go into the storage area where Sally is sitting in a box. I scoop Sally up and toss her in our bedroom so I can leave the bathroom door open and get my fish tank out. But YAY, Vicki did something on her own. I loved on her and praised her. I’m very proud. We’re going to start locking Sally up in the bedroom now so Vicki can get used to going back and forth from the bathroom to the bedroom, once she’s comfortable with that we’ll have to get her used to the entire upstairs then we’ll work on the downstairs part of the house.

So yeah, that’s my shit list, not real long, but it takes a lot to get your name listed there. 🙂
