Reorganizing the house. :)
Damn is it hot in this office. Wow, remind me to turn on the A/C tomorrow. 🙂
I just rearranged our entire video collection and a bunch of our electronics. See, here’s the thing. Hubby’s tape deck, record player and mixing board was taking up half of the top shelves of our entertainment center. The other half was being taken up by our game systems an old Nintendo, a Nintendo 64 and a Sega Dreamcast. That was wasting 6 of the 10 little one foot shelves on the entertainment center, not to mention leaving a mess of cords and junk. It was a serious eyesore. I took all that junk and moved it into the two long shelves under the TV that are hidden by doors. So now the electronic crap is all hidden short of the VCR, DVD Player, TV and the Sterio.
I then took a shelf we were using for storage in Sara’s room and put that in the living room and moved all the movies, DVD’s and games onto that. The bottom four shelves on the entertainment center ended up being movie overflow. But it left me with 6 empty one foot shelves woohoo!!!! So I took some of our neat books, things guests might be interested in, and put them on those shelves along with some of my decorations that have been homeless since we brought Sara home. It looks nice again, but boy was THAT a lot of work. Now what I want to do is get Sara’s room cleaned up. A bunch of stuff that needs relocated to the basement is currently stacked in Sara’s room. But I’ll save Sara’s room for tomorrow, I don’t really want to go into the basement this late, it’s seriously creepy down there, and it’s not just me that thinks so. Everyone who’s lived here thinks the basement, Sara’s room, the laundry room and the little bathroom are creepy. If I could honestly say I believed in ghosts I’d say it’s probably haunted. Someone did die giving birth in that part of the house back in the 1800’s I think it was, might have been early 1900’s. Our house is kind of creepy if you stop and think about it. I try not to, it bothered me when I first moved in here but now I’m used to it. I should share some of the old black and white pictures we inherited from the family of the people who lived in this house before hubbys dad bought it and fixed it back up. The pics aren’t that old, but they’re neat. I think the pics are from the 50’s or something. I’ll have to check with hubby to see if those pics are still available. 🙂
*yawn* Well, I’m expecting hubby home from class in a little over an hour so I had better go put the white load in the dryer and clean up the rest of my reorganization mess. 🙂
WTF is it with people who actually believe in ghosts, anyway! Good grief. You can rearrange my house when you get here! LMAO! I’m a disorganized mess most of the time.
