*pout*

Hubby starts class again tonight. He has a Friday night class and a Saturday afternoon class that lasts 6 weeks. It’s an English course. *cringes* He also has the normal 15 week course on Monday nights for C++. All in all that’s not too bad but *whine* I like to DO STUFF on Friday nights. After the 6 week English course ends we have our Oklahoma trip to look forward to.

I have to entertain myself tonight. I tend to do weird things when left to my own devices. I rearrange and organize things that are already organized, stuff like that. Anything to stimulate my mind. I have some fish tanks to clean tonight, I’m a day behind on them because of my cat bite. My arm is much, much, better today though, still sore at the bite but I have full motion and strength back without too much pain.

I have had one hell of a productive day. I was nervous about today with that project for Michele, a project for my boss in review, forms to do, phone directory’s to publish. And when I came in my boss checked that my time is up to date and I had a support call. The project for my boss went really well. It was simple really but I took a word document and made it into a help file, in a way it’s like building a web page for someone to use but it’s not html. She didn’t really give me any direction on it so I had to be creative. I fear my ideas not going over well, but she seemed to like it, and told me to publish it. I am generally pretty good at making things user-friendly and appealing to the eye. Michele wrote back about the project I finished for her, she just gave me a “cool, thanks”. Haven’t heard anything else so I guess she’s happy. I got my forms done, phone directories out and most of my time entered. All but 2 weeks, but that’s because there’s no project codes for the stuff I’m doing in CMS, not my fault at least. I can assign and create projects but for some reason it’s not working for me today. My boss is taking a look at it.

I really enjoy having a lot of work to do. The pressure makes me feel like I have a purpose and when I get to design new manuals my job is creative and being creative is my favorite thing in the whole world! 🙂

We don’t really have much planned for the weekend, since hubby is taking the english course we’re pretty much keeping our weekends open. That and it would do us good to stay home and save some money for the Oklahoma trip. I still haven’t booked the rooms yet. I’m going to wait until next week I think. We do have to sit down this weekend and go over our route. Since we’re traveling with a dog we have to make sure we find pet friendly hotels all the way. I think I’m going to try to stick to La Quinta, they allow dogs at all their hotels nationwide and that’s a quality I like. 🙂 Before we got Sara we used to stay in Microtels but they don’t always allow dogs. Great place though if you travel pet-free, their rooms are small, but cheap and always very clean and comfortable. Other chains aren’t always quite so reliable. We stayed in a Super 8 in Maryland, most of those are decent, but this one was awful, creepy, like chain the door and hide under the covers from the drug dealers creepy. *cringe* Ah, all this talk of travel reminds me that we need to but the back seat back into the Hyundai so we can get Sara used to traveling in her doggy seat-belt. It’s going to be a nice weekend so maybe I can convince hubby to put the seat back on Sunday. 🙂

Anyway, I just got another form to do so I better get to it, I’m out of here in 40 minutes and I want time to clean my desk as well. 🙂

It’s good to know that about La Quinta. I’ve started to dislike traveling because I hate to be away from the dogs. But if I know there’s a place that welcomes them, then I’ll travel more. Of course, I have to find a car that four greyhounds can fit into FIRST!
