old pics

I was looking at some recent pictures of myself today and realized I look a hell of a lot like my mom. Especially with my hair dyed black, we look damn near identical. I went off to look for a picture of my mom and ran across a bunch of old photo’s. I thought I’d scan some and share them here.

Soooo anyway. Lets see here, where to start.

Here’s one of me when I was a baby.

Me at Christmas at my grandparents house.

And this is the golden retriever I’m always raving about, Snookie. The dog that saw me through the majority of my childhood, she was a great girl. The cat on her back is Misty, my moms cat, she’s about 13 now.

Another picture of Snookie. The cat hanging off her leg is my mom’s cat melvin, who she also still has.

Me, from a group picture for choir. This was 1996, I was 15.

This is one of my favorite pictures. This is from 1997, I was 16 and Casper was 2. Casper spent many an hour laying under that bird cage. I had the bird for awhile, his name was Edgar and he was a parakeet.

Another picture of Casper.

And this, well, I considered not posting it, this is probably the worst band picture of me ever. But whatever. This is from 1998, Lone Star Band Competition in Texas. Why do I look like I’m about to cry?? Because the bastards taking the pictures set us up facing the sun. Everyone in the picture is making a funny face because of it. *sigh*

And now, it’s baby Kenny. 🙂 This would have been August 1999, just a couple months after I moved to CT.

Another of baby Kenny. He was hillarious as a kitten. We have a ton of pictures of him with his mouth open. He meowed incessently. He’s half siamese, as anyone who knows anything about the Siamese will know, they are extremely vocal cats. Kenny has that trait and he has that loud Siamese meow. We love him for it. 🙂

This was a common sight in our house for a long time. See that straw in Kennys mouth? Now do you see that cup behind Kenny? That’s most likely where the straw came from, he was forever stealing straws, he loved them!

Kenny and Casper:

So anyway, that’s it for pictures for now. Hubby is watching tv without me so I should go. 🙂

I’m still not sure if you look identical to your mother. 😉 Great photos! I love ’em. It’s always neat to see someone’s life unfolding in a photo album.
