grr
11am and still no pay. It seems only our bank is affected. The bank says they haven’t seen anything from where we work, but that they still might sometime today. Work says the thing they sent is electronic and shouldn’t have failed.
I hate this shit, this is my salary we’re talking about. And to top it all off my husband and I work at the exact same place and use the same bank. This means NEITHER of us got paid.
I’m soooo stressed out right now and anxious. When things like this happen I can’t focus, or function or do anything. My hands are warm, my feet are cold, my legs are shaky, and all I can think about is the fact that we’re totally screwed without our paychecks. I do have a work-around, I can pull some money off a credit card at the ATM but that doesn’t help the anxiety. I need my money in my account, like now. The biggest problem is that even though I can feed myself and buy gas and necessities I can’t mail the checks I wrote out for bills until I have the money in my account. If this stuff can’t be in the mail on time some of it will be late. I have a system and the system relies on my direct deposit being in my account Thursday morning, in other words, on time!!!!
Times like these I wish I could be more like my hubby. I swear, the man doesn’t get upset, or stressed, or worried. He lives in this little world where he knows everything will be alright. I wish I lived in that world. 🙂
*sigh* Well, I just got a phonecall and need to get some stuff ready to go to the mailroom.
Lets all cross our fingers and hope I get paid today, or at least tomorrow, I could live with tomorrow as long as I know something by the end of the day today I’ll be happy!!!
“I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful. I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful.” hehe
Ick! Indeed that’s stressful 🙁 Hope your pay stuff gets fixed up soon!!Glad to hear that little bit about your husband’s attitudes… your life partner can severely affect your own attitudes, and he’s got a healthy one, even though it may be a little unrealistic in some circumstances. Lots of people OVER worry, he’s balancing them out 😉 😉

When that kind of shit happens, I go ballistic. I’d be pressuring the people on YOUR end who made the transfer; THEY need to pressure your bank. This is out of your control and not your fault, so get the idiots who screwed it up to deal with it. If you can, that is. Sometimes, buck-passing is the corporate culture. As I said, corporations are all pretty dysfunctional.
