Fly Away, Far Far Away

I’ve been thinking and honestly, I’d like to move way away from the cities, away from people, away from civilization in general. A farm up in Northern Maine somewhere would be lovely!

I’m not really a “people person”, don’t get me wrong, I like SOME people, Intelligent people specifically. But the majority of our population seems to be a bit lacking in the Intelligence department and also the common sence department. I like people that like to think, people that I can sit down and have a real meaningful deep conversation with. Every conversation doesn’t have to be deep but the person needs to be cabable of some real “brain sex”.

I live on a busy 2 lane road. There are cars going by our house very quickly, constantly. I can’t step outside without some idiot hollaring and yelling out the window. The favorite game of teenagers? Honking at me while I’m at my mailbox next to the street. Thats_a_very_cruel_thing to do to someone with sound sensitivities. Car engines make me cringe I don’t need the horn in addition to that!!!!!

Connecticut is overpopulated, horribly so. I don’t like busy, crowded places and there aren’t any places here to go that aren’t busy and crowded.

I’d be content with a farm and no close neighbors. I’d like to look out and own all the land I can see. I’d like to know I can go to the mailbox without being honked at. I’d like to be able to go outside and have a bit of privacy. I’d like to own a bit of earth, feel like I have a place where no one can bother me unless I want them to. A place where I can feel safe. I could forget about how poor of a job Bush is doing. I can forget the terrorist warning meter is at “High”. I’d like to live somewhere Jehovah’s Witnesses and Salesmen don’t dare travel. Sure it might be an hour to the nearest market or 2 to the nearest department store, but for the wonderful solitude, that’d be alright by me.

My neighbor works a weird shift and leaves the house at 2:00 in the morning. In the winter, he warms the car up before leaving and sometimes he’ll let that car idle for almost half an hour. I’m usually just falling asleep around 2:00, and it DRIVES ME CRAZY to hear that car idling in his driveway!!! I can’t stand the sound of it; it bugs me no end.
