Blah Blah Blah

Do you know how much I hate getting up at 5am and coming in to this hell-hole they call work? It is so incredibly boring and the people here are so incredibly stupid. Plus, it stinks here, yes, stinks, literally. The smell when I walk through the door repulses me, it smells like my laundry hamper when it’s full of dirty clothes. The air is stale and dry and it’s always cold in here. The 9th floor where my hubby works is slightly worse though, it not only smells like a laundry hamper but it smells like the laundry hamper of someone who doesn’t know what deodorant is. This place needs some openable windows.

I’m learning how to play D&D. I’m going to start playing with hubby and his buddies on Friday. They’re down to two players right plus hubby as the DM so I’m going to join in and play. The two players are people I’m relatively comfortable around. I’ve known them since I moved up here plus I work with one of them so it’s all good.

Saturday we’re going over to hubby’s sister’s house for taco’s. I’m a pretty tough critic when it comes to mexican food so I hope she’s a good taco maker. 🙂 She’s a pretty good cook though unless she’s making Fettucine Alfredo. That came out rather dry and pasty, eww. I was trying to think of something to take to dinner, like some flowers or something. I always feel guilty going over to someone’s house for dinner without a small token of appreciation for the hostess, that is proper manners you know. Always take your hostess a small gift when you’re invited for dinner. 🙂

You know what makes me crazy? There’s this guy that sites across from me here at work and I hear him on the phone quite often. The disturbing part about this is the fact that he calls other men things like “Big boy”. I hear him say “Okay big boy” and stuff and that just weirds me out. It’s just not something I would say to another adult ESPECIALLY if this other adult is a co-worker of mine. Seems business etiquette is a thing of the past around here.

I’m starting to wonder if my summer band thing is going to pan out. It’s the 13th already and I’ve received nothing. In the e-mail from the band director said I was on his mailing list and that I would be receiving a schedule in the mail. He also said that he was planning for rehearsals to begin around May 20th. I don’t like to bug people but I’m starting to feel like sending him an e-mail asking what’s going on. Then again if he’s not got it together enough to put someone on the mailing list when he said he already did I don’t know that I want to be a part of his band. I can’t stand people that don’t have their shit together and as it is I spend enough of my life reminding people of things.

Well, I just got an e-mail from my mom who is cleaning out closets at her house. She’s asking if I want certain things that I’ve left there and I’m going to e-mail her and tell her yes, don’t get rid of any of my shit. I’ve got to get that stuff out to CT but it’s tough with only the Accent especially now that we’ll be traveling with Sara.

Take a cheap bottle of wine to your sister-in-law’s. That’ll work! “Big Boy?” Ewwwww! That guy is stuck in Frat House Phase. Good grief. Slap him!
