Band, Casper, & Wild Animals
So, I have band tonight. I got the hang of the piccolo again finally. It’s been a rather frustrating week though because I’ve had a sore throat on and off all week and my nose has been stuffy on and off all week as well. Stupid allergies. My throat is very sore today, figures since I have band and all.
It’s been a fairly uneventful week. My cat Casper has put on some more weight. He’s looking much better. He feels like he probably weighs what he should now. I have a feeling that at the next vet appointment the vet will put him one pill a day instead of two, more of a maintenance dose rather than a dose to make him gain.
Casper has been going out on a leash with me. He’s the only cat we have that I really feel safe taking out on a leash. He’s not very skittish and all he does is lay around in the grass and purr. The other cats would probably freak and dart if a car made a lot of noise. Casper just looks curiously in the direction of the car.
Our neighbor got chased by two foxes a couple of days ago. She was out walking her dog when two foxes came up on her. She said she stomped her feet and made noise and that eventually scared them off. She wanted to warn us though about it since we’ve been taking Casper out. She also said there was a pack of Coyotes down by the pond. Before only one had ever been spotted but there is actually a pack of about 5. That makes me nervous about using the pond, I don’t know if we will. But then again I don’t think Coyotes would really mess with two adult humans. I’m starting to think I really want to just invest in a larger pool. I’m going to be starting a pool fund here pretty soon. Probably just one of the larger Intex ones. We’ve had really good luck with our small one. Maybe we can afford a bigger one for next summer.
Anyway, not much else to report so I should go for now.
