We’ve finally settled on a unique name for Sara’s registration paperwork. The name comes from the first week we had her home. The one thing she enjoys more than anything in the world. Anyone want to guess what that might be?

hehe, snow!!!

Her name is going to be “Snow Bound”.

So that’s it, I can send in her paperwork. Doing this also reminded me that we haven’t registered her with the town, which we will need to do very soon. We were waiting until after her spay as it’s much cheaper to register a spayed dog.

Sophie’s kittens are still doing well. They seem to be getting a little stronger. Their little eyes should open some time between tomorrow and next Thursday. Before you know it we’ll have kittens all over the place. 🙂

Sophie is just, she’s weird. It takes very little to annoy her, she attacked me last night but not THAT bad this time luckily. We were laying on the bed watching TV, she was laying on top of hubby and I was laying beside hubby. I was poking at him a little, y’know to bug him, but what it really did was bug Sophie. She went for me, then when I got away she went for hubby. We’re back to the squirt bottle. This morning I was laying on the bed and she was laying beside me, she had just nursed her kittens and was cleaning her tummy. I had my eyes closed and the next thing I know is there’s a cat attached to my arm. I squirted her with the bottle and she quit and went back to cleaning herself. She just doesn’t know how to interract with humans. That I can deal with, I’ve dealt with this before to a degree. What I’m not sure about is how to get her adjusted to Sara, I’ll be doing some research. I’ve never had to deal with a cat that attacks dogs before. She might get better after her kittens are weaned but I have my doubts, she hated Sara from day one, but NOW she thinks she has a reason to hate Sara.

Everyone who’s noted and said that Sophie has a wild/feral streak. Ya’ll are definitely right! hehe I think I can tame the evil tabby though. I know it’s been done with cats that are wilder so you better believe I’m going to do my damndest. She’s got a clingy-sweet streak in her too luckily so I’ve got something to work with to start. I’m just going to have to do some research on how to get her used to Sara. Wish us luck, I do really want to be able to keep Sophie.

Sara is so cute, she’s not afraid of cats, luckily Sophie didn’t ruin that for us. Last night hubby and her were playing on the floor and Sara kept wanting to sniff and play with our cat Sally. Hubby said too, that when he took Sara out for her last bathroom trip of the night that she came back in and went over to Sally, who was laying on the floor, and sniffed her head to tail. Surprisingly Sally didn’t move or run off, she just watched Sara out of the corner of her eye. Sara never touched Sally, she was satisfied just to be able to sniff. Maybe Sally figured she owed Sara one. She had sniffed Sara earlier in the evening. Sara had been standing next to a TV tray, not paying attention to Sally, who was sniffing her from the top of the TV tray.

I had a weird dream last night. Well, I don’t know that it was that weird but it was vivid enough I can still remember it. In the dream I had blown off a meeting I was supposed to attend with Michele, I was pretending to have “forgotten”. It was a Friday night and Hubby and I went to the amusement park instead. When we got there we saw one of those big ship things that swing back and forth real high in the air. Well, we were going to ride it, but when I realized all the middle seats were full and that hubby wanted to ride in the very end (where it goes the highest), I backed out. This is true to life too, I’ll ride those but only in the center, it’s not as scary there. Anyway, in the dream I decided to call Michele to apologize for forgetting the meeting and to reschedule for Monday when someone shouted out “Oh my god, there’s something wrong with the ride!!!” Apparently one of the things that hold it up was hanging by a thread. They got the ride stopped and everyone got off safely, including my hubby and the ride operators apologized profusely. That’s when the alarm went off and I had to wake up.

That’s it for now, time to get to work. 🙂

OMG, I dreamed I was on the Tilt-A-Whirl last night! I love the Tilt-A-Whirl. Good luck with Sophie!!!!! She sounds intractable, but if anyone can do it, I believe YOU can!

Snow Bound is a great name! Those pics of Sara in the snow as a puppy are adorable! I’m sure you guys will be thankful to have those in years to come. Sophie sounds like a tough challenge, but I’m sure you’ll be able to tame her. It’ll be an interesting ride though! And what a scary dream! Mine are just too strange or scary anymore. I dread falling asleep sometimes because of it
