Well, I cleaned off my desk. Only my decorative stuff is sitting out now. No one can walk away with my shit. I’m going to be leaving one company purchased pen with one company purchased post-it pad out on my desk for people to leave me notes if necessary. Everything else will be put away. Everyone stopping by to use my shit and wander off with it will just have to learn to get their own shit. 🙂 What a concept!
One of my bettas is sick. He developed this lump of crap on his back and this lump of crap on his left gill. I don’t know what the hell the crap is but it looks nasty. The best description of it would be like white cheesy looking junk. I don’t know what to do about it and I haven’t turned anything up on the internet. He’s active and eating though, so that’s good. I put some Jungle Fungus Eliminator in his water. Hopefully that will help. I’m going to cut the number of fish I have. It’s getting to be too much to change 6 betta tanks a week. It was fun at first, but this was before we had a dog and a Sophie with her litter of kittens. Our pet count is insane. 5 cats, 5 kittens, 1 dog, 11 chickens, 1 dwarf hamster and 7 betta splendens (1 belongs to hubby). As my bettas die I’m just not going to replace them. Of course, I don’t WANT them to die, but y’know, they only live a couple years, they’re not like cats that live 15-20. I was admiring my betta larry last night. I’ve had him about a year and half now, it’s so cool, that’s the longest I’ve ever had a fish live! 🙂
I’ve been following a kitten development chart online, as a guide, to make sure I’m doing everything at the right time and to make sure the kittens are developing on time. Tonight I’ve got to set them up a little litter box. They should start learning to use that now. They’re 3 weeks old today. Next thursday we’ll be introducing them to soft kitten food! 🙂 Today is also the day that it’s time to start introducing the kittens to other animals and people. So this morning when Sally decided to try to come into the closet I decided to let her. She didn’t actually want to though. lol She stopped in the doorway and sat up on her hind legs like a little gopher and watched the kittens, eyes wide, body tense. After about a minute she turned and ran off. Next week the kittens will probably be ready to venture downstairs so it should be fun, I wonder what Sara will think of the tiny little kittens. Sophie has started vocalizing a lot at the kittens. She makes the cutest little chirpy noises and looks worried when they’re active and all over the box. If only she realized how close they are to being able to climb out of the box and venture out into the house on their own. 🙂 Our household is about to be very busy. It’s going to be too much fun though.
Anyway, I should probably get back to work. I’ve got some forms to take care of. I’ll probably stay home again tomorrow. After I do these forms I will once again, have nothing to do. 🙂
