So, Saturday. You gotta love Saturdays. It’s not like Sunday where all you have to look forward to is work the next day. Sundays depress me somewhat. I used to stay up really late on Sunday night when I was in school just to enjoy as much of it as I possibly could. 🙂 Of course I slept through Algebra, and that caused bad things to happen to my grades but eh.
Anyway, we went to hubby’s family picnic thing and there were a lot more people there than I was expecting. I lasted two hours, we ended up leaving before dinner. I couldn’t handle it much longer. Not only were the voices loud but there were 6 kids there and kids voices peirce my ears like knives. We left politely and agreed to get together again at a smaller gathering. The whole thing was really overwhelming, I still have a headache.
We stopped at a little Italian place in Hamden. Someone hubby had met when he was going to college out that way had shown him the place and he remembered it being some of the best italian food he’d ever had. So we stopped there, had dinner and came home.
When we came home we went out to inspect a tree that had partially fallen down at the edge of our lawn. On the way out there I saw something coming at us out of the corner of my eye. Scared the hell out of me until I realized it was the neighbors dog, he’d come out of our barn. He likes our barn for one reason or another. Anyway, we inspected the tree, it was obviously hit by lightening. The tree is literally split right in two, all the way to the ground, quite impressive. Although it is a little close to our barn for comfort. My Datsun happens to reside in that barn.
After inspecting the tree the neighbors dog, griz, was still hanging around so hubby brought Sara out. Theyl played a little and we heard the neighbor calling for his dog. So we sent him home and came inside.
Now I sit here typing. 🙂 I’m hoping this headache goes away soon, I’d like to play my flute for awhile.
Also, we found out what’s making our crop circles!!! This morning we went out to inspect the garden and realized our lettuce was missing! Hubby inspected the lettuce and right next to where the lettuce had been was a deer track. Uh-huh, so the cause of our crop circles is deer. Damn it. I’m pissed too cuz the lettuce is gone. I didn’t grow all this shit for everything else to come and eat. We spent like $100.00 on seeds and fertilizer and stuff and I’ve gotten my green onions out of it, that’s it. I’m not happy. We didn’t think we’d need to fence in the garden because the neighbors don’t. BUT we realized why, they chain their dog out by the garden at night. No way in hell are we chaining Sara outside at night so we’ll be erecting a fence. Live and learn I suppose. 🙂
Soooo anyway, I think I’ll go see about changing clothes and playing my flute. I need to clean a couple fish tanks tonight too so I need all the time I can get. 🙂

I was hoping it was aliens. Damn. I cannot STAND to be around little kids. I can’t stand the sudden moves and the sudden noises they make. Babies are the worst of all. I know that sounds terrible, but when I hear a baby crying, my skin hurts. It’s the most irritating sound I can think of!

Deer making crop circles? What, was it laying down and spinning itself around like a break-dancer? 🙂
