We’ve had a pretty alright weekend. Saturday we went to hubbys moms house and Sara got to play with their dog while he installed a firewall on their computer. Sara had a blast. Only problem we had is Sara isn’t fully housetrained yet. She’s crate trained, which means she won’t poo in her crate but she still hasn’t figured out that she cannot, ever, poo in the house. Mid-play she stops in the dining room and drops a load. I was pretty embarrassed, grabbed her, leashed her and took her out while hubbys mom cleaned up the mess. She finished her business and we went back inside. I’m hoping to have house training finished by October, I’d hate for her to poo in my moms house, my mom has brand new carpet. I have some awesome carpet cleaner, which is good at least. Our old landlord gave it to us, she works for a cleaning company. When we brought Sara over to her place for the first time she gave me a bottle and said I’d be used to cleaning up poo in no time. heh It works great on kitty hairballs too. blech.
On the way home from hubbys moms we saw a computer desk on the side of the road for $10.00. We took Sara home and went back for it. Now I have a new computer desk. That corner desk was nice but it took up too much room. I now have a setup of three desks that wrap-around me, hubby has the same setup. Works great. I have my computer on the computer desk, books on one of the others and my fish tanks on the back one, the back one I’ll use for writting as well.
We let Sara ride in the back of the car without her crate. Ohhh did she LOVE that!! Now she wants to do nothing but go in the car. Every time she goes outside she pulls towards the car. Of course, now all our car windows are covered in doggie nose prints, hehe.
Today we went out to Gillette castle. Very cool place but crowded. I was annoyed, some people seem to have no concept of other people. Hello, other people are trying to look too! We took pictures but they’re not up yet. I’ve got to get hubby to get them and the pics from Fort Trumbull up soon.
We got Chinese takeout and a movie this evening. Men In Black II, it was amusing. Now we’re watching a show on Discovery about Volcano’s. Yellowstone park actually contains a powerful super volcano, I didn’t know that. It’s due to errupt again within the next 200,000 years. 🙂 Next we’re watching a documentary on Otzi, the ice man. We’re nerds.
I’m sick. Sore throat, stuffy nose, weak all over. Pissed me off, trying to ruin my Sunday. I felt better this morning than I do now. Probably because I decided against laying my sick as in bed. 🙂 I think I might have tonsilitis, my throat isn’t sore as much as my left tonsil. I’ll probably be working tomorrow, my boss is finally back and I want to get going on the rest of that CMS stuff. 3 day weekend next weekend!!! yay!!
We might be going to this butterfly museum thing next weekend. It’s got a huge room you can go in where the butterflies are flying around and you can stand with them and they land on you and stuff. Now, I’ll be honest, bugs, even butterflies, freak me out and I usually run from them. I’m trying to get over that though, I look like a tard running from a butterfly. Anyway, my hubbys mom wants to go but she can’t convince her husband to take her so we might take her. 🙂
I managed to get another splinter in my foot. I think I can get this one out though. It doesn’t hurt that bad and I can feel it with my finger so I’ll probably pull it when I go upstairs where the tweezers are. I uh, think I need to vacuum.
Hmm, I think that’s it. Guess I should give hubby his laptop back. 🙂
g’night
I read somewhere that that super volcano at Yellowstone could, and probably will, blow up much sooner than expected, like within the next 5000 years. But I don’t think I’ll stay up nights worrying about it! Doggy nose prints are car windows are something I am so used to I don’t even notice them anymore. Also doggy nose prints on all the windows in my house, which you will see, because I will (c

forget to wash my windows because I don’t even notice the doggy nose prints! They’re just sort of part of the decor.
