I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what I’m supposed to do with this next thing I’m supposed to enter into our Content Management System. I’ve sat here staring blankly at it for what feels like an eternity. The e-mail from my boss isn’t helpful either she just said to take a look and to let her know if I have questions. Eh, that’s nice and all but uh, she’s not here, and won’t be until Monday. So I’m pretty much stuck and I’m out of other work.

I finished and published an update to our electronic manuals just a few minutes ago. That kept me busy for a couple of hours. I got to edit/improve the looks of, some screenshots for that. Playing with graphics, that would be my specialty!

But I’ve finished now and have nothing to do. Well, I COULD catch up on my piles of files I need to put away BUT my neck hurts so I’m not going to. I have the leaning tower of file folders in the storage closet. 🙂

I was thinking about maybe getting in to cat breeding. I was looking at Traditional “applehead” Siamese catterys yesterday. That’d be the type of cat I’d want to breed. Traditional Siamese are bigger and stalkier than the Siamese you see in show rings nowadays. Now the breed standard is thin, lanky and has insanely huge ears. The Siamese cat of a few years ago was broad, hefty and in my opinion, much prettier. That would be the kind of cat I would want to breed. I LOVE the Siamese. I love their grace, their playful/talkative little personalities. Kenny is half-siamese and him and I, we carry on full conversations. I can meow-reow and he’ll run up the stairs meow-reowing and chirping right back. He has a “I want tuna” meow, a “Where the hell are you?” meow, a playful meow, a different sound for every occasion, he’s darling. I think I could probably breed cats and go to college at the same time easier than I could work full time and go to college. I also think I could breed cats and practice psychology at the same time as I would most certainly want my own practice, at least after awhile. My only problem with cat breeding is that I am a firm beleiver in rescue organizations and adopting from shelters. So I may not ever really get into it. There aren’t many traditional siamese breeders left in the world though so I don’t know. The traditional Siamese almost died out at one point.

Here’s a couple pictures of what I’m talking about, the pictures link to the sites I got them from:

Traditional Siamese cat:

Modern Siamese cat:

See how much thinner the modern siamese is? It’s not that I don’t think they’re cute, I just have a thing for bigger cats and I’d hate to ever see the traditionals die out.

Anyway, so yeah, that’s my most recent thought about what to do with my life. Somehow I will manage to combine my love of “figuring people out” and cats! hehe 🙂

I wish Sophie would hurry and have her kittens. I’m getting antsy and she keeps getting grumpier and grumpier and holy cow does she have gas. Have you ever smelled a cat fart? Well, it can be as bad as a dog fart, let me tell you. If you’ve never smelled a dog fart, well then, you’re lucky. Anyway, I wish I could get it through Sophie’s thick skull that I need to be able to touch her. I can pet her and rub her head but if I do anything remotely intrusive I get attacked. Luckily I can tell if the kittens are kicking and/or moving around by looking at her belly when she’s laying down. That is the coolest thing, let me tell you. I’ll be able to tell when her stomach drops by looking too but there’s one key thing I want to check for, milk should appear 1-3 days before she gives birth, I can’t squishy her nipples without coming away bleeding so I can’t tell if there’s milk. *pout* I have managed to sneak a squishy in the past, but not recently, it’s like she knows when I even think about doing it. Granted I wouldn’t want anyone squishy-ing my nipples but, okay, lets not go there. I want kittens already!!! lol

We’re going out for mexican tonight. That and we have to drop a roll of film off at wal-mart for processing. We’re impatient so we get One-Hour. I took pictures at the fort last weekend and I took a couple close-ups of Sophie’s face for my wall at work. I have a wall with pet pictures. 🙂 I think, although I’m not positive, there might be a couple pictures of Sara on there too. I needed an updated one of her for my wall too. Right now I still have one from when she was this tiny up:

That’s from when she was 8 weeks, lol.

Y’know, I can’t wait for the snow. The week Sara came home it snowed a lot and she loved it. She was so cute in the snow and I can’t wait for it to come back so we can watch her play in it again. 🙂

Anyway, we have to pick up a new phone at wal-mart too, we’re getting digital phone installed tomorrow night. Our phone in the office is really old we’re not sure it’s going to be compatible. It sucks and needs to be replaced anyway so no biggie.

Anyway, 20 minutes till I’m out of here. I’m feeling stiff so I’m going to walk around a minute.

Oh, man, that Siamese is UGLY. Not the traditional Siamese, the modern Siamese. It was a traditional Siamese that scratched the shit out of me when I was two. A blue-point. I have never, ever forgotten that. Anyway, I think the top cat is prettier, by far, than the bottom cat. Sara, of course, is cutest of all!
