*sneaks in*
No, that wasn’t me that took an hour and a half lunch, you must be mistaken. No, really!! It wasn’t me!! Was not!! I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you!!
Um, yeah, we went home for lunch.
Why? Because we forgot to set something to timer record before we left this morning. And was it worth it?? No. Why?? Because we just discovered we set it to the wrong damn channel. *bangs head on desk*
*rubs head*
On the plus side we got the mail. I love mail. Bills, magazine’s, pleasant surprises. I don’t care, it’s mail. I got two things that surprised me
1.) An invitation the the first annual gathering of the women of the family. I’ve been invited to celebrate my womanhood in Vermont with the rest of the female family members. Bring pillows, music and games. *looks very confused* Celebrate my womanhood? Uh, yeah, like hell I’m going to a giant sleepover with all the women from the family. *shudders* OH THE HORROR!!!
2.) An Aspire Visa Gold from Providian. *looks confused* Last I checked I didn’t apply for an Aspire Visa from Providian. Hubby said “Well, maybe it’s a replacement”. Hmm, good point. I checked, and it’s not, it’s got a different account number. My other Providian card doesn’t expire for 2 more years so uh, I don’t know what the hell. Last one I applied for I got a couple weeks ago, it was a Capital One card. Ah well, new credit card for me. *Tucks card safely away*
And of course we made fun of the name of the credit card. You see, my father-in-law owns a Ford Aspire and we say it’s Aspiring to be a car. So we decided my new Visa must be Aspiring to be a Visa. *grin*
I hoping to be able to get my Datsun running by the end of the year. If we get the home equity loan to take care of some of our financial issues and pay off our Accent I’ll be able to take, er..um, tow, the Datsun to the shop and have it fixed. Once it’s up and running I want to start thinking about some body-work. There’s some rust in the rear wheel wells. It’s not unusual for Z-cars to rust like mad. Considering it’s an ’82 it’s in pretty damn good shape with only a tiny bit of rust. Part of that is because it’s from Oklahoma. Things don’t rust as badly down there because there’s not as much snow which means there’s a hell of a lot less road salt and stuff. Z-car lovers up here compliment me on it’s condition and I tell ’em it’s from Oklahoma and they smile and nod knowingly. 🙂
Anyway, I’m going to go buy hubby a shirt from UF. He rarely gets anything cool so he deserves it. 😉
Hey, I have an idea! I’ll mail you my bills! 😛 You know, once you start getting credit cards and paying the bills on time every month, it seems like all the credit card companies want to do is to send you MORE credit cards. I have one, and I use it for emergencies ONLY. But I’m very weird that way.
