To answer Cyndi’s question the housework is uh, coming along. 🙂 Baby steps. 🙂 “Baby-stepping down the hall”, “Baby-stepping through the door”. *chuckle* I loved “What About Bob”.

Anyway, we got SOME stuff done today.

We started off the day with a trip to Agway where we invested in a ground rake and one of those Garden Claw’s. Y’know the one’s they advertise on TV that ANYONE can use. Pretty cool but it still requires a bit of endurance to use, especially over a large area. While at Agway we also purchased our seeds. Here’s our seed list:
Green Beans
Pumpkins
Onions
Cantaloupe
Green Onions
Watermelon
Sweet Corn
Cucumber
Lettuce
Carrot
Peas
Sunflowers
and last but not least Popcorn. How cool is it going to be able to grow popcorn??? It grows just like regular corn does but you leave it on the stalks until it dries then you pick them and hang them to cure for 3-4 weeks. After that you can shell them and jar them till you’re ready for some tasty homegrown popcorn. I uh, don’t have a real popcorn popper though so I’ll have to invest in one. I usually just buy the pre-buttered microwave stuff. 🙂 We have to get plants for tomato’s and peppers too but we’ll be waiting until the garden is entirely tilled.

After we went to Agway we came home and got to work tilling the garden. We made a dent in it and then hubby had to go to his eye-doctor appointment. UGH, this eye-doctor is making me crazy. She’s nice and all but she’s overly cautious in my opinion. Hubby has eye redness problems cuz his eyes are sensitive. They’d been fine all day but when he got to the eye doctor they got a little red. If you even suggest to hubby that his eyes are red they’ll turn red, quick, it’s amazing. It’s just one of those psychological things. Kinda like if you tell someone you turned the heat up even though you didn’t and then ask them a few minutes later if they’re feeling warmer, a lot of the time they’ll say yes. Oh, the power of suggestion. Anyway, she put him in a different pair of lenses and has yet another appointment scheduled for Friday. Sheesh this is getting old.

We went to Arby’s and Taco Bell after that, ate in the car while watching traffic go by and making notes on different people and uh, well, I probably shouldn’t go into a lot of details on what we were noticing.

After we got home we continued with tilling the garden then came inside. I made an attempt to relax in the pathetipool but it’s too cold. 🙁 After that we came inside and I tried out another mexican dip recipe while hubby ran out to the package store for some drinks. 🙂 The dip was SPICY. Painfully SPICY! I think I can work with it though as it’s very good otherwise. Perhaps a bit more cumin and less jalepano’s. Some Cilantro might be an interesting touch as well.

After the dip hubby did some dishes and I started cleaning off the kitchen table. That’s about it for cleaning. Some dishes and some of the kitchen table cleaned off. 🙂 Hell though, if we get the kitchen and the upstairs bathroom cleaned this weekend I’ll be content. Like I said, baby-steps. 🙂 Perhaps having a high filth tolerance is good, instead of spending my life cleaning I can spend my life being lazy and having fun. 🙂 It’s funny though that I actually do have a high filth tolerance because I kind of have contamination issues. Remember that little girl in Signs with the water glasses everywhere?? That’s me, totally. 🙂 I usually drink my soda out of cans so I don’t use a million glasses. And yes, we recycle them. 🙂 I’m only funny about food though. Like I won’t take a drink or anything into the bathroom with me or anything like that but clutter doesn’t bother me one bit, neither does an unswept floor. 🙂

Well, I guess that’s it for us today. Not sure what we’re going to do now. Play games, watch a movie, who knows. 🙂

Gosh, I’m in the mood for a salad right now. Hmmm, I wonder what’s making me crave salad . . . Maybe I’ll have some popcorn for dessert.
