*dances around singing* Good morning world. It’s Thursday and did you know that Thursday is one of my favorite days of the week? Yepp, sure is, you know why? Because it’s the day I start looking forward to the weekend. I don’t worry about how late I stay up because tomorrow is Friday and everyone is lazy on Fridays anyway. Thursday is a day that shows a lot of promise.

There’s a lunar eclipse tonight. http://www.fwmuseum.org/lunar515.html You can bet your last dollar that I’ll be staying up to watch it. I’ll never forget the first lunar eclipse I ever saw. I was I guess 12 or so and I thought it was just the neatest thing. I am fascinated with space, the moon, the stars, planets, the galaxy, it’s uncomprehensible size. It kind of puts my ego into it’s place and I think that’s why I’m so fascinated with it. I’m the same way about the ocean, the ocean is an amazingly powerful thing and I’m deeply in love with it, not so much in a romantic sence but more of a dominant/submissive sence.

I have chocolate. Not milk chocolate mind you, dark chocolate. I LOVE dark chocolate. I’m not one for things that are really sweet but dark chocolate is perfect. I wish I could describe it, mmmm. I didn’t like it when I was a kid but now it’s my favorite candy. I had forgotten about it, I bought it last week when we were at the grocery store picking up some soup on Tuesday. I hid them from Sally and forgot about them. I brought them to work today though, some of them. Our cat Sally LOVES chocolate. Once, when we had her at our house babysitting her for my sister in law (before she became our cat) she ate a rather large helping of oreos. We ended up calling the vet and just so you know there’s not enough chocolate in oreos to hurt a cat. 🙂 You see, our cats have never really gotten people food, especially not junk food!! At most I’ll offer them a morsel of sandwich meat, a bite of cheese or a bit of lactaid. My sister in law and her ex husband fed Sally a little of everything it seems. Sally goes nuts for Chocolate, tortilla chips, and Burger King. When we had Sally over though we didn’t think anything of leaving a package of oreos on a lap tray by the sofa, our cats won’t get into it. Sally tore it open and had herself quite the midnight snack. Now with Sally around we can’t leave anything out, everything has to be returned to the snack drawer.

My fish Clyde is no longer constipated, just thought I’d mention that since I mentioned he was earlier in the week. 🙂

I’m not sure I’d have time for it but I was thinking if I ended up going to UCONN I could join their marching band. They’re huge and they look like a really good band. I think it’d be a lot of fun. But unless I get to the point where I don’t have to work while going to school I’ll probably have to nix that idea.

I’m still wondering about this band I’m supposed to be in this summer. I checked their website again yesterday and even it hasn’t been updated for the year. I haven’t lost hope yet though b/c I checked the updated date and it was last updated May 16th 2002. SO, if I’m right then it should be updated with the new information very soon. Seems the band director waited till the last minute last year too. I’m not one of those last minute people. If I was running a band that had rehearsals starting in May I would have made sure my band members had the information in hand by April 1st or so. Then I’d probably send out a followup reminder to arrive the week before the first rehearsal. See, I have my shit together.

Hmm, well this is a dissapointment. It’s been quiet all week at work and one of the main noisemakers that has been out is back today. Here I’d geared up for another quiet day at the office.

Well, I guess that’s about it for now. I should get to work or something. 🙂

I’m not sure how UCONN’s practices are run, but at UMASS we had practice M-F 4:50-6:10. If you had some sort of conflict, work or class, you could come late, leave early, or miss practice. We’re pretty flexible, and I imagine that UCONN is too.

I loooove dark chocolate, too. It’s the only kind of chocolate I really do like. Wasn’t the eclipse the coolest??? I just finished watching it–it’s about 11:00 here and the totality just finished. IT WAS SO COOL!!!!!!!
