*yawn*

It’s been kind of nice this week. My boss has been out all week so far. She spends a lot of time in Philly which is where she was Monday and Tuesday. Today she’s at the branch in New Jersey. We’ve got branches all over the place and I think it’d be kind of cool to get to go to them. My old boss even got to go to San Francisco quite often. Needless to say I’m jealous. I LOVE traveling. Not flying so much, it’s not that I’m afraid to fly or anything, I just find it extremely boring and also stressful having people sit so close to me in such a small space. Surprisingly, I LOVE airports despite the fact that they usually cause my senses to overload, it helps if I have someone to follow so my interaction with the crowds is minimized. My two favorite airports so far are JFK and O’Hare, they’re both well organized and I love the high ceilings and windows. My least favorite airport would have to be DFW, Dallas Fort Worth, that thing is a monstrous, poorly organized, and to me, scary. The electric trains were really scary for me and I was afraid we’d miss our flight. I don’t really care for the Tulsa airport although it is one of the quietest I’ve ever been in. Bradley, here in CT is also one of my least favorite’s too, the design is perfectly dreadful and it’s confusing.

Enough about airports.

I’m working on putting a real effort into combating my driving fear. I drove hubby home from work yesterday and into work this morning. Both drives were completely uneventful. I’ll try to post my progress in here like a dieter posts their daily calorie intake. 🙂 I was reading yesterday evening on a message board for people with anxiety/panic disorders and there are a lot of people a lot worse off than me. Some are so fearful that they can’t even take the car down the street, if they can conquer it, I can conquer it right? Right.

So, we’re going to set up the pathetipool tonight, it has to sit for a 24 hours before you can “swim” in it. It’s one of those Intex pools:

It requires all the normal pool chemicals and is filtered and all that jazz. I found a pool starter kit at walmart for $9.95 so woohoo. 🙂 I’m not so sure I’m going to let Sara swim in it anymore. I didn’t realize when we bought it that there was so much involved with taking care of it, pool chemicals and stuff. It requires the same treatment as a real pool. We might just stick to the pond with her and hubby and I can cool off in the pathetipool. I also read about people having problems with dog hair clogging the filter. We’ll see, I could clean the filter right after we use it and keep Sara away from the edge and clip her nails and stuff. I’ll also have to find out more about pool chemicals and dogs, plenty of people let their dogs swim in their pools but I want to make for positive it’s safe.

Well, I need to get my moms copy of Sara’s picture in the mail and get to work. It’s phone directory week so I have to actually work today and tomorrow!

You actually like O’Scare??? Oh, there’s no hope for you, I’m afraid! 😉 I like airports, too; they make me excited about traveling, even if I’m not the one traveling. “Pathetipool” just cracks me up! I don’t know how regular pools could be safe for dogs–but they might be. I’d be interested to know. I guess it depends on how much chlorine, etc., is in the pool.
