Hubby took this picture of Vicki this afternoon. She was chilling on the back of my chair while I was eating my dinner. The picture looks like shit because it was taken with a webcam, one that’s been knocked off onto a wood floor by a certain tabby cat, ahem, Sally! The cam hasn’t been the same since that. 🙂

I hauled my flute and piccolo upstairs this evening. I haven’t played it more than 10 minutes since we got Sara. She whined a little last time I tried with just my flute so I figured I’d have to go upstairs to practice for now, she’ll get used to it though. Just takes time, especially for the piccolo, it can be painfully loud. My band thing starts next month and my biggest fear is sounding like shit because of lack of practice. I ran a few of my old contest solo’s and I still have it. Since I don’t play everyday though my diaphram isn’t as strong as it used to be.

I sincerely miss the feeling of being on stage. For someone that hates being the center of attention it’s kind of weird that I like performing. I’m really looking forward to this summer.

Our pool came!!!! I’ve knicknamed it the pathetipool. It’s only 2 and a half feet deep but hey, we got it for Sara, ummm, yeah, sure, Sara. 🙂 Yeah, alright, so I’ll enjoy lounging in it as well. 🙂 I love water, it’s very soothing. Within the next couple of years I plan to have a full sized pool installed (shhhh, don’t tell hubby). Okay, so maybe a couple years is unrealistic, I’ll say within the next five. 🙂 I was rather annoyed with my lazy parents as a kid. They had a nice 4 foot above ground pool installed and never let me swim in it. The only time they really used it was when company came over and of course, I had to play in room when company was over, not play in the pool. When I was finally old enough to use the pool where was it??? Yepp, gone, they sold it, it was too much trouble to care for it. *pout* My best friend Michael had a pool but she never wanted to swim in it. How come when people have pools they don’t USE them???? If I had a real pool I’d be out there all the damn time, I fucking love water and I would die to have my very own pool. I hate public pools, they’re always too packed and god only knows who’s pee’d in it.

Well, Vicki is rubbing her head on my hands and making it hard to type so I’m out..

I’m surprised the noise of a piccolo doesn’t bother you–it does bother me. I love my flute, but the noise bothers me if I play too long. I can’t stand to play a piccolo because it hurts my ears so much. Love the pic! The “pathetipool.” That is too funny! Sounds like a baby pool! Like one of those little wading pools.
