*yawn*

I’m at home today. I’m kinda sick but not really all THAT sick, just a lil under the weather really. Stuffy nose, sore throat, cough, that kinda thing. Since there’s not a lot going on at work I decided to stay home today.

Figures though, when I checked my voice mail this morning I had a voice mail from someone I’ve been working with. She’s not the brightest bulb in the box and has been driving me nuts with stupid questions. She doesn’t seem to “get” anything I say. Luckily though she’s having an issue I can’t fix so I got to shove her off onto my boss. 🙂

I’m sitting here now staring at some forms, wondering if I really want to work on them or if I should save them for later…. I’ll save them for later.

Sara’s getting a lot better at entertaining herself. We can leave the baby gate down and let her go between her room and the kitchen freely now without having to worry too much about her. She seems to have learned what belongs to her and what belongs to us. She still doesn’t get that she can’t pee wherever she damn well pleases though so we have to keep an eye on her if she starts sniffing. Since we both work full time potty training is taking a lot longer with her which I’ve read is completely normal. Really sucks though, she’s coming up on 14 weeks and should gain some more control so I’m hoping to make a lot of progress over the next couple weeks.

Weather permitting we might try to take a trip to the beach this weekend, a close beach. I’ll have to double check petswelcome.com to make sure some of the close one’s allow dogs. Most do before Memorial Day I think. She loves water so much I think she’d have a blast. We’re not 100% sure we’re going to be able to afford an anniversary trip, even one as cheap as camping. We’re so broke right now it’s not even funny. So far Sara’s vet visits have been close to 100 dollars each and that’s certainly not helping. If you ever decide to get a puppy don’t do it when you’re broke. 🙂 I’m not looking forward to her spay at 6 months. Don’t know how much that’ll cost on a dog but I’m sure it’ll cost more money than I’ll feel like parting with. 🙂

Ah well, I should probably go for now. Not that I have much of anything to do. 🙂

Vets are really, really expensive. I can’t believe how much it costs me just to get ONE greyhound vaccinated. My sister, who’s a vet, will probably be driving a Rolls Royce fairly soon!
