8 days until we get our puppy. 🙂

Now it’s getting really exciting! Getting our puppy next week, got next week off as vacation. Doesn’t get much better than the week before a vacation, knowing in just a few more days you’ll be sitting around doing nothing while the rest of the world continue’s on with it’s routine.

I still can’t believe we’re getting a dog. A year ago we were figuring we probably wouldn’t get a dog but even so, I felt like something was missing. Watching other people with their dogs left me with a tinge of jealousy and I knew that despite the shedding and dog smell that I really wanted a dog, particularly a golden. I was delighted when we found the breeder that was so close, so convenient and so ‘our style’. She works almost completely by e-mail, she didn’t have a long application process, just a few questions and that was it. It was wonderful, neither me or my husband like talking to people on the phone so dealing with a dog breeder via e-mail, for us, was a dream come true. It was like that breeder was meant for us. 🙂

Ah well, I should get to work. Not sure if I’m going to come in or not yet tomorrow
