12 more days until we get our puppy. 🙂

So, I took the day off yesterday, well, no, actually I “worked from home” but really I didn’t have a damn thing to do so it was like having a day off.

I’ve been trying to solve some problems we have around the house, you see my hubby and I are well, we’re slobs. We’re the kind of people that rush around to get everything cleaned up before someone drops by. I’ve realized though, that it’s only going to get worse when we get a puppy. Mainly because the puppy is going to take up even more of our time and leaving stuff around the house won’t be good because puppies chew. 🙂 So I spent part of the day yesterday figuring out what I could do to make it more convenient for us to keep tidy. I figured something out for the kitchen table. I put two baskets and two magazine holders on it. One for each of us. Now all I have to do is figure out the bedroom and the upstairs office, the rest of the house stays pretty neat because we hardly use it. 🙂

I spent the majority of the day watching TV and/or working on my puzzle.

Hubby came home early because I had to get to the social security office. I never changed my name on my social security card and this year my taxes got rejected for it. I was a bit annoyed b/c I didn’t know I had to go change it. A thank you to my wonderful family for telling me everything I’d have to do when I got married and changed my name. No one told me shit. I even asked if there was anything special I had to do. That’s the last time I ask them anything. Ah well, I needed a social security card anyway. My mom swears up and down that she gave me my social security card but didn’t. She gave me my social security NUMBER hand written on a torn off peice of paper when I was about 12, she forced me to memorize it and tested me daily until I had it memorized but she NEVER gave me the card. And of course, she accuses me of having lost it. Whatever.

Anyway, we went out for pizza and then came home, we were supposed to go grocery shopping but, well, we got lazy and neither of us felt like going out there. So we went home and worked on puzzles. I finished mine and was totally pissed off because I came up short 2 peices. What good is a puzzle that’s missing two peices??? They must have been missing from the factory. I’ve had the damn thing, unopened for probably 2 years and I didn’t lose any peices while I was working on it. The cats didn’t take off with any either b/c we kept the puzzles locked in a room. Ah well, hubby got me a new puzzle on Tuesday that I started last night, hopefully it will have all it’s peices.

While working on the puzzle our cat Sally was staring at something on the floor. Actually I thought she was staring at my flute at first but then I realized that no, she’s staring down in the cracks in the floor. We have old fashioned wood flooring and there’s cracks between the boards that stuff can get into. Anyway, I peered down into the crack and found none other than a rather large spider. Yep, once again, a spider, on my side of the room. I told hubby there was a spider in the crack and that Sally would show him where. Then I left the room and returned with a plastic knife for hubby to stick in the crack. He took care of the spider, agreed that it was a pretty good size. Sometimes I exaggerate spider size so I always ask “You thought it was big too right?” hehe. Then hubby checked the rest of the room for spiders and said it was clear so I went back to work on my puzzle but ewww, I kept feeling like shit was crawling on me. I always get that way when I see a spider, as a matter of fact I’m starting to feel that way now so I’m going to change my focus to something different.
