We’ve had a full day. We got up this morning and went out to Lowe’s and Bed, Bath & Beyond. We got the stuff to put the shelves up. Then we bought the silverware we’ve had our eyes on for ages. Bought that with the Christmas money my mom sent. We also got some mugs and some glasses that will fit a Guiness Draught, 17 ounces works well.

We’re all set as far as kitchen stuff goes now. We’ve been wanting some new stuff for awhile, I hate to say this because it seems rude, but we got a lot of wedding gifts that we just didn’t like. We like things to be a little “different”, more eccentric, everything was so plain and normal. It’s not like we’re throwing everything out but a lot of it is in storage and will be used if necessary. After nearly 5 years of using it all I’d say that’s not too bad.

We looked at fine china today too, and wow, pricey. After looking at it though we decided it’s probably not something we’ll ever invest in. It’s nice and all but we’re not really fine china kind of people, we’re more like stoneware kind of people. *shrugs* I like nice things but place settings that run $100-$200 a piece, around my husbands clumsy family, 8 cats and a dog??? Heh, I think not. Not that we could afford it now anyway.

Anyway, the silverware we got, I’m totally in love with. We almost didn’t get it, I don’t know, it seemed a little too eccentric, I don’t like to buy things that are too weird and get tired of them. But I don’t really think I’ll get tired of this silverware, it looks really nice with our plates and will actually go really well with the kitchen and stuff. Anyway, this is what we got:

We went to Applebee’s for lunch. I got a salad that kind of sucked, I hate how you never get enough dressing. Guess I could have asked for more but *shrugs* I never do. Then we came home and I played Neverwinter while hubby went next door to fix the neighbors TV. After that we got take-out from a local pizza joint and put up shelves in Sara’s room. That turned out pretty nice. I’d take a picture but we’re not done with the room quite yet. Tomorrow perhaps.

I don’t guess we don’t really have a lot else planned for the weekend. *shrugs* Hubby wants to go see his dad and at some point we’re going to make cookies. I could go for lots of Neverwinter playing as well. Hmm, and maybe I could sneak off to Dots while hubby isn’t looking and score a couple things on sale. Of course if I tell him he can buy things on sale at Old Navy I won’t have to go while he isn’t looking. 😉

Anyway, G’night.

see, a lot of times I get salads that have either too little dressing, like yours, or are drowning in it…several of my friends ask for their dressing on the side…isn’t too bad an idea because then you can just put on how much you want.

Yay, Old Navy. . .yay, Dots! I’ve never shopped at Dots before, believe it or not. Though I pass by it all the time when I go to the Enfield Mall. . .I think there’s one there, at least. Have fun making cookies 🙂

RYN: Tehehe that’s the one I meant 😉 I pass by it occasionally when going to the mall, or if I’m with mom on her way to Big Y. 🙂

ryn: that is too funny, I usually drown mine, too, when given the chance 🙂
