I have no work to do this morning. Although it means I’ll be bored out of my mind it’s perfectly okay with me. I’m off next week so this means I won’t have any problems making sure all loose ends are tied before I’m on vacation. We don’t have much planned for our vacation. Hubbys father is coming over monday morning to help make sure we have all the measurements we need for new windows. He leaves for Thailand on January 15th so he is going to try to make sure we get all our windows by then so he can do one with us to make sure we are okay installing them ourselves and stuff. So this means we’re going to have new windows very soon, yay!!!! We need them, sitting on the couch you can feel the cold air from outside blowing in, you can see light around some of our windows too. Our winter oil bills are outrageous. We need to replace our doors too, the front door is an ugly peice of shit hubbys sisters ex husband got really cheap when he worked at Home Depot. The back door is old and you can see light around it. Not to mention a burglar could get through them easily, they have windows right above the door handles. I don’t know why anyone buys doors like that.
My toe is feeling somewhat better, I was able to wear my chunky heels this morning. Yesterday I wore my flat dress shoes that look like guys dress shoes. The heels put too much pressure on my toe.
A lady I work with said I look like Ozzies daughter this morning. Then she started talking about the show more which I informed her I did not watch. I watch very little TV, the only things we watch all the time are Boston Public, Resident Life, Monster House and Southpark. Anything else we catch maybe once or twice every couple of months, usually when we get tired of our computer games. Speaking of computer games Hordes of the Underdark KICKS ASS!! I’ve forgiven Bioware for Shadows of Undrentide because Hordes rocks socks! Right now my schedule consists of get up, go to work, come home, have dinner while playing hordes, clean up dinner, play hordes, shower, play hordes, go to sleep, repeat ad nauseum. My husband is unlucky as he is working on his sisters husbands computer so he has to fit computer work in between playing hordes somewhere. 🙂 I think he’s about done though, he’s going to upgrade the memory and I have to burn the guys backups to CD’s. This guy got the bright idea to install windows XP on a computer with the minimum requirements for XP. Let me just make sure everyone knows this: One does not install an operating system on one’s computer that only meets the minimum requirements. It will not run well, it will be…painfully…slow. One simply must upgrade their computer or stick with their current OS!!
My Arthur built a lovely bubblenest last night. I came in to work this morning and saw it. Bettas build little nests out of bubbles when they’re happy, healthy and wanting to breed. You see, the male guards the eggs in the nest. After literally squeezing them out of the female the male will pick them up, blow them into the bubblenest and guard them until they’ve hatched and gotten strong enough to swim around. Bettas make an awful lot of babies so breeding isn’t something I’ll be doing. They’re cute when they nest though, they’re industrious little fellas, they’ll go under their nest and check it out, carefully placing bubbles here and there as if they’re trying to make sure it’s perfect.
I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I’ll be on vacation all next week. I can’t wait for today to be over.
Oh, the friend of mine that called me on my birthday. I got a Christmas card from her yesterday, one of those picture cards, it was of her, her husband, and their dog Abby. Their dog is simply adorable!! And now I have her address so I’m going to send her a letter.
Hubby and I have been talking about dogs, we’ve decided we can do the puppy thing again, raising a puppy is a lot of work. Not as much as a child but close for the first couple months. We’ve been trying to decide what kind of dog to get next. Mind you, next means like once we no longer have Sara, 10-15 years from now. We were thinking of getting a Greyhound but as wonderful as they are I’m not sure how suitable they’d be for us. We’re leaning towards bassett hound. They have the laziness of a greyhound, they’re small dogs but not dainty. We both like hounds, a bassett hound isn’t something I’d have ever imagined myself with but I like the personality. I don’t think I want another high energy dog. Sara is a little busy-body and it’d be nice to have a dog that will just chill out. Sara sleeps very little and she’s always ready to go go go!!!!! We’re lazy dog people. Sara’s a lot of fun though, and she certainly brings a lot of life into the house as do the kittens.
The kittens are pissing outside their litter box!! My goodness, it’s horrid!!! They’ve chosen the papasan chair, behind the couch and two dark corners. See, if they try to go to the litter box and someone is occupying it the don’t go to one of the other litter boxes, or wait, no, they go elsewhere in the house. *bangs head on desk* I’ve got to pick up some simple solution and scrub the area’s this weekend to get the scent up. Hopefully we can break them off this pretty soon. I blame Sophie, she used to drag them out of the litter box and get them to go on their blanket and stuff. We’ll get it corrected but in the mean time no one should sit in the papasan chair, lol!! Luckily the kittens that have gone to new homes seem to be doing well. I think the problem now is just that they’re returning to where they’ve been. Hopefully getting the scent up will help deter them from that. Raising kittens is soooo fun. At least when Sara piddled in the house it was always somewhere easy to clean up, like the linoleum. *shrugs* Enough about this, I’m going to go write that letter.
Later.
When I moved Fred’s litter box, he still liked going where it was before… grr! Had to put a couple of boxes over that spot to disencourage him from going there. Thank goodness he doesn’t go on my papazan… I’d have a problem with that 🙂

I need some advice. My Fred-kitty has runny stool and I’ve discovered some blood in it tonight… any idea what’s going on? Gonna look some stuff up on the net before I take him to the vet… funds are tight 🙁 He’s only 2 and a half years old. Other than being a tad overweight (he weighs about 18-20 pounds), he’s healthy as a horse. Usually…
