I think I have an ear infection. I had some pain in my right ear yesterday, it started getting worse last night to the point of not being able to lay on my right side. I also noticed this morning that there’s some pressure and I can’t hear quite as well as normal. I did some homework and read that 70% of ear infections will go away on their own. Young children should be treated with antibiotics right away but that older kids and adults can afford to wait a couple days to see if the infection continues to worsen or starts to get better. So I’m going to go that route, I’ll see if it gets any worse. Hopefully it will go away on it’s own, I’m not a big fan of antibiotics but I’ll take them if I have to.

Our neighbor is coming over again tonight. She wants to see the kittens one last time before they go to their new homes. Kitten 5 leaves tomorrow evening. We’ll take the last set of pictures tonight of everyone together. I want to try to get some with the 35mm tonight too. I have to stop at Petsmart tonight, I want to pick up some cheapo cat carriers in case someone shows up without one. I also want to send each of them on their way with a couple of their favorite toys so I need to pick up some more of them. I printed my care sheets and stuff for my new kitten packets yesterday. It has truly been an honor to have the opportunity to raise these little guys. It hasn’t been the easiest job in the world, it’s been stressful, time consuming and at times painful but I wouldn’t change a thing.

Sophie seems to be improving. She’s still a bitch but she’s getting better, even around Sara. We haven’t had to lock her up when Sara isn’t crated for a few days now. She even sat on the back of the couch last night while Sara played in the living room. Provided this improvement continues we’ll be keeping her. Our biggest concern has been quality of life for her, and for Sara. I can deal with Sophie provided no one else’s health and/or happiness is in the mix. With Sophie attacking Sara though it caused either Sophie or Sara to be locked up all the time, for the past month or so it’s been one or the other of them is out and the other is locked up. That’s not fair to either of them so our best option was going to be finding a new home for Sophie. Sophie seems to be getting less moody the older her kittens get, which is what I hoped would happen. So we’ll see if this continues.

The new Neverwinter Nights expansion “Hordes of the Underdark” comes out on my birthday (Dec 2nd). I’ll probably get it, I was dissapointed with “Shadows of Undrentide” though so I don’t know if we’ll go all out and buy two copies like we did with that one. We didn’t bother with playing it over the network so we really didn’t even need two copies. We could always go back and sell a copy so eh, who knows what our crazy asses will do. 🙂 I like having a really good game to play during the winter since winters around here get pretty boring, so I really hope it’s better than shadows was. And of course everyone knows what happens December 17th…right?? The final movie in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy is released!!! If you didn’t know that drop and give me 20!! I SAID drop and give me 20, now maggot!! Just kidding. 🙂 You can bet your ass we’ll be going to the movies directly after work that night. 🙂

*sigh* I’m hoping for a seriously snowy winter this year. *Hides under desk so snow-haters can’t hurt her* To me there is nothing better than unexpected days off work because of snow. Nothing better than waking up and seeing a foot of snow outside, checking if work is open and then climbing happily back into bed. Of course then there’s nothing worse than waking up to 6 inches of snow and perfectly plowed and sanded roads. Because then you have to get all dressed, get outside, clean off the damn car in the freezing cold. heh, you win some, you lose some. We kept getting jipped last year though b/c they’d say “Well, we’re going to close the office at 3pm because of the snow”. GREAT, thanks, I ALREADY LEAVE AT 3PM EVERY DAY!!!! There was one day one of the ladies that does the announcing brought me some work and she happened to mention “You caught that the office is closing at 3 today because of the snow, right?” Like I should have been all happy and relieved that I get to leave at 3. I wanted to reach up and strangle her then proceed to beat her to a bloody pulp. But of course, I just smiled politely, nodded, and said “Mmm hmm”. I want some REAL snow days this year. Bring on the Nor’easters baby!!!! *proceeds to climb back under desk to hide from snow haters*.

*looks at clock* I waste more time. lol It’s okay though, it’s not like I have a lot to do. I can’t work all the time or I’d drive my boss crazy asking for work all the time, I’m sure. There was a thread about this on a message board for people with AS that I use. Seems a common problem among people with AS is that they work too fast. I don’t know what it is about us but we seem to be extremely efficient workers. I’ve always done things a lot faster than everyone else. When I worked at the direct mail company in Tulsa I moved up really fast and quickly became the head meter-person, then I started taking on the job of Assistant manager, I would have eventually probably moved up to manager but I, of course, moved to CT. I was faster than anyone else, I was the only one that could fix the machine’s when they broke short of my boss and one guy who was always too busy to help our department. In school I always finished tests and assignments first *shrugs*. I’m just fast at things even though I don’t try. When I get going on something my mind just goes, I work on things and I’m constantly figuring out and changing little things that make what I’m doing more and more efficient. My dad used to love to watch me work on things, he always said I was very creative and was always fascinated by my way of doing things. I don’t even really know how to truly describe it. I’m just weird, how’s that? It’s kind of funny that all the AS people on the board have had that problem too, they can’t stay busy enough at work no matter how much work is piled on them and they have the same frustrations I do. I guess we just don’t pace ourselves like other people do. Guess it’s just another one of our things.

Anyway, I should see about compiling the spreadsheet I promised someone by the end of the week. 🙂

Later.
