Oh glorious Internet connection, I humble myself before thee. *bows down on floor* I am not worthy of something so glorious as thee.

*looks around*

Hey, give me a break, it’s been almost a full 24 hours since I’ve had internet access!!

We swapped the two rooms out yesterday. We got all the important stuff moved over and went to bed at about 11pm. I’m going to try to get my part of both rooms straightened up while hubby is at school tonight, then I can help him with his part tomorrow or something. I’ll have to take pictures in a day or two. I think the rooms turned out really nice, definitely a good move. The room we moved our bedroom to is the quietest and warmest room in the house, which is nice. It’s also the room Vicki lives in. Heh, here lies a potential problem, Vicki can be really obnoxious at night, she likes to lay on pillows and she’s not a small cat, she’s a Maine Coon. She also likes to lick hair and she can’t be still. She kept waking me up, so needless to say, I didn’t get the best night of sleep. Hopefully she’ll mellow out when she realizes she gets to sleep with us EVERY night. 🙂

Friday night we watched “The Shining”. Fallindog had mentioned it in her OD and I realized I had a copy on DVD I’d ordered via mail awhile back that we’d never watched. I’d never seen the movie nor had I read the book. That was a really cool movie, only problem I had with it was it was a little heavy on the obvious foreshadowing, it made the movie very predictable. Overall it was pretty good and I LOVED the hotel. I would kill to live in a hotel like that for a winter, uh, no pun intended. 🙂

We had two people come by yesterday to meet kittens, the family that is adopting kitten 5. Also, a woman that just recently lost one of her 2 cats unexpectedly to an illness. She is just the type of person we’re looking for and she might take 2 kittens, 3 & 4. She’s definitely a cat lover, she’s on the verge of being a tad bit loopy. We had a nice visit with her, she played with the kittens, told us stories about her cat and almost cried a few times. We ALMOST offered her Sophie, she kept saying how Sophie is so much like the cat she lost, even Sophie’s attitude, her obnoxious biting and stuff, lol. At the end of the visit she told us she had to think, pray, and talk to her remaining cat about it and she’d get back to us with a decision in a day or two. As she was leaving #4 followed her downstairs while all the other kittens stayed up, she nearly got all teary eyed again and played with 4 for awhile again. I think she’s definitely taking #4, she just has to decide if she wants #3 as well. I hope she takes both, Kitten 4 would do really well to have one of her brothers go home with her. She’s a little sweety, she’s shy and kind of seems to need some reassurance sometimes. She also loves to snuggle up with her brothers. I would have loved to keep #4 but I am honored that she will go to such a wonderful home and be so loved.

Hmm, I think that’s about it as far as weekend news. Oh, our switch to vegetarianism is still going well. I made my Taco Soup with soy meat substitute this weekend and you couldn’t tell a difference. Some things I can tell a difference in, like hamburger helper, but not the Taco soup. I’ll have to try it out in my Pasta e fagioli. 🙂 And of course, it’s getting to be the time of year for chili too! I honestly never thought going vegetarian could be so simple. Thank goodness for meat substitute, we can still have hamburger helper, “chik’n nuggets” and all kinds of stuff and you know for sure there’s no dangerous bacteria just waiting to make you sick as hell. I feel better overall too, the “full” feeling is different and goes away sooner after eating and I haven’t been getting indigestion as much. *shrugs* Maybe I’ll even lose some weight.

My mom had an excersize machine, a Gazelle, in her house. I didn’t try it out because Sara’s crate was set up in the way but it looks like a hell of a lot of fun. I don’t use my excersize bike b/c I can’t hear the TV over it, the gazelle is quiet. I might have to get me one of those after we get our home equity loan out of the way and whatnot. I noticed my mom was quite a bit thinner than she was last time I saw her, she’s been dieting and using that machine.

Anyway, I should probably get to work. I have to finish up the directory updates for our parent company and I’ve got a huge pile of forms to scan. I’ll be back later to post a few vacation pictures.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this entry. I have a cat named Fred, and he’s my baby… until my “real” child arrives in a few months. We’ll see how that goes, eh? But like I said (or did I?) I like how you write, it all flows very nicely. Take care.
