Current Mood: Tired
Current Music: Nothing

Well, I’m feeling somewhat better now. I still feel like I’ve been kicked in the stomach but I was able to eat dinner. I’m guessing this was food poisoning and not a virus since it’s passing so quickly. I don’t know what I could have eaten though. My husband and I have eaten the same things mostly and he’s fine. The only thing I can figure is maybe it was something with the pizza we got yesterday for lunch. I had black olive’s on my half and he had mushrooms. Olives seem like an unlikely candidate but if the restaurant doesn’t do a good job keeping their meats and veggies/fruits seperate it’s possible the olives could have gotten contaminated. I think I’m done eating at that place, I’ve gotten food poisoning there before, from some bad canadian bacon, but I thought for sure since I’m not eating meat that it’d be okay. The only other thing I had yesterday was some pasta e fagioli I made with meat substitute, there’s really no chance of that being bad. Plus hubby ate the same thing. The only thing different yesterday was the black olives and mushrooms. *shrugs* All I know is I hope I never get this again.

I should definitely be able to go back to work tomorrow. I have a meeting first thing in the morning with my boss. She’s laying off my only co-worker as of Jan. 1st, we’re meeting to discuss what that means for me. I’m assuming it means more work/responsibility. I have no idea what else she has in mind but it sounded like there was a lot she wanted to talk about. I was absolutely shocked when I heard the news, I think she’s been fighting for awhile keeping both of us and I guess I never really expected her to lose the battle.

In other news work is taking away our instant messaging as of Nov. 30th. They’re a bunch of Nazi’s. Hubby is trying to figure out what to do so we can still communicate. It’s nice to be able to communicate without the phone and without filling one another’s inbox in e-mail. We discuss what we’re doing for lunch, he lets me know when he’s going to be off at a meeting, we gripe about people, stuff like that. It doesn’t really interfere with work and it’s a nice outlet. We don’t chit-chat a lot really, less than most people do verbally with the people sitting around them. The company seems to think the instant messaging risks security or something stupid like that. Hubby will come up with something even if it’s a little chatroom on our website we can use. Our company sucking is probably all AIG’s fault, ever since we got bought out by them things have been slowly going downhill. They’ve taken away a lot, they’re screwing with our lenient policies, they’re pulling holidays, next thing you know they’ll be pulling vacation time.

Anyway, I think I’m going to go lay down for awhile. Hubby hooked the DVD player up for me so I might go watch a video. He was going to hook it up this morning but we discovered we needed an RF modulator, I think it was, because my TV is old. Hubby picked one of those up at Best Buy after work and now yay, we have a DVD player upstairs.

Ugh, I had about with the stomach bug Saturday. I think it was something I ate at our Dining Commons that just didn’t agree with me. Or, it could’ve been the combination of post nasal drip and dehydration due to a really stuffy and dry-heated dorm room that upset my tummy. Hope you feel better 🙂
