There is nothing more wonderful than the way animals make your house feel. I sitting here this morning at my desk. Kenny is in his tower beside my desk looking out the window, the kittens are playing around in the hallway and outside I hear roosters crowing. With animals around you can never feel alone, kittens especially make the house feel so alive. If there’s one thing I’ll never live without it’s pets.

lol, I’m reminded of when we were at FallingDog’s house. You can definitely never feel lonely in her house, not with four greyhounds, they follow you around any time you get up. At one point I had to go to the bathroom while her and my hubby took our dog out into the backyard. When I finished up and opened the bathroom door all four greyhounds were right there, in the doorway, staring up at me. I was the only one in the house to follow and boy do they make it hard to get through doorways, lol. It’s so cute though. My cat Casper follows me to some extent, he always has. Really, all the cats do, not quite like greyhounds though, cats tend to show up just a couple minutes after you enter a room. They’ll get cozy and if you move to another room they do the same thing, show up within a few minutes, curl up and go to sleep. Right now though I only have Kenny, Casper poked his head in a minute ago, I think he’s making his rounds and checking on territory.

My hubby is gone getting donuts, this is getting to be a sunday routine. He told me last night that if the car was gone when I got up not to worry, that’d he was gone getting donuts. I was awake when he left though.

Someone hubby knows from work is coming over today. It’s someone I don’t really know but I’ve seen him around. He has a dog, an Irish Setter I believe it is, that’s trained for field work. He’s bringing his dog over today so they can practice on our property. I’m looking forward to seeing his dog work a little, I’ve never actually seen a dog do this stuff. Sara’s technically a bird dog so this is what she could be trained to do, we just don’t know how to do that kind of training. I only know how to do obedience training. Sara needs to learn to do something I think, it’d be good for her. She gets bored. When she’s not crated she follows us around like she’s waiting for us to tell her what to do. Right now we just throw toys or tell her to go lay down and hand her a rawhide. She needs a hobby, some tricks or something. Maybe I’ll work on teaching her to “put away her toys” and some stuff like that here pretty soon. That’s one thing about high energy field dogs, they need jobs to do. Think she could learn to vaccum??

lol, speaking of vaccums. I made a joke in Tulsa that resulted in hubby and I nearly dying in the parking lot of one of the places my mom and step-dad took us for dinner. I looked over and saw a sign for a vaccum store and said “I bet that place sucks”. Hubby and I busted up and couldn’t stop giggling for awhile. We finally got in the car and we giggled half-way to the next place we were going. My mom and step-dad thought we’d lost it. Yesterday though, we were driving to lunch and hubby saw a sign for a store called “Best Vaccums” so he said “If they’re the best vaccums do they still suck?” We decided that they must suck even more. Have I ever mentioned my husband and I have weird senses of humor? 🙂

Anyway, I’m going to go feed and check on my fish now and I think I just heard a car door.

Hahaha, I think ya’lls sense of humour is great! That would have been a fun car ride, methinks. And yah, tell me if you can get ya dog to vaccum, might just need to adopt one meself…

I’ve experienced those giggles, so I know that you didn’t lose it! What a cute story about my doggies!!! I didn’t know they were all waiting for you outside the door, how sweet! They do follow me around all the time, and sometimes it gets annoying, but most of the time, it’s endearing.
