I’m starting to wonder if my pool cue is going to arrive on time. The tracking info hasn’t updated since the 12th. It would have to arrive in Hartford today to be delivered tomorrow, which is when the scheduled delivery is, so if it doesn’t update I’ll have to contact the shipper to put a trace on it. Wouldn’t be the first time, this happens to me all the time.

I don’t know how packages get lost, I can understand why letters get lost. I used to work in a mail room and well, shit falls behind meters and no one notices, things miss the box and get blown aside and no one notices for a day or two. You drop a handful of mail and one slips under the scale. But a package? lol, I read somewhere that someone had ordered something and it inadvertantly got delivered to his neighbor who kept it. A month or so later he was forced to admit keeping the package when UPS traced it to his house. Talk about embarrassing. At least none of our neighbors would do that.

Which reminds me, hubby met our new neighbors on Friday. The one’s building a house practically right in the middle of the peaceful hiking trails we have. Yeah, THOSE neighbors. They’re really nice people and they’re looking to stay there for a long time, like us. So at least they won’t move out and a group of loud partiers will move in here in a year or so, that’s one thing that would suck. We have that problem with the people across the street from our neighbors. They build this really nice-ass house and move out after several years. Now a bunch of people who like to throw really loud house parties live there. In the middle of summer you’ll hear screaming and loud music at 10 fucking pm.

My vegetarian chili turned out good. It’s actually just the normal recipe from hubbys mom but with meat substitute instead of real meat. Both my hubby and his mom have really sensitive taste so the chili’s really good but it isn’t spicy at all. They consider it spicy, I think it’s rather bland, but it has a nice flavor to it. I just shake some tobasco sauce into my bowl and I’m good to go. 🙂 My grandma makes some damn good chili but it’d probably kill my husband. Plus, as it was I was up half the night with acid reflux, probably from putting tobasco in my chili, lol. I love spicy food but boy do I pay for it when I eat it.

I’m getting a package today. 🙂 There’s one place I can always count on getting my packages on time, Amazon.com. 🙂 I ordered the new “Get Fuzzy” calendars and Tool’s “Opiate” album.

We got new optical mice yesterday. Hubbys mouse was going and he decided to buy himself an optical mouse, well, I couldn’t let him buy one without me getting one. I LOVE the one I have at work.

We were looking at pool tables yesterday. Our house isn’t big enough!!!!! Our dining room is almost big enough for a 7-foot table. ALMOST! It’s like a foot short or something on the width, it’s plenty long. We have two choices, finish off the basement and get an 8 or 9 foot table, or buy a 7 foot table for the dining room and some short cues for when you have to make a tight shot. Also if we put a pool table in the dining room we’d have to buy a dining top for it, and forfeit the cool table with 4 leaves that’s seats a ton of people. It’s like a family heirloom so we’d have to give it to hubbys dad. Finishing off the basement is probably our best option. We’re thinking, it’s got stone walls and stuff so it would look really neat finished off to look like an old tavern or something of that nature. Only problem with the basement is that we have to resolve the issue of it flooding.

*shrugs*

We’re supposed to get the loan paperwork tomorrow. *yawn* Lots of stuff to sign, probably about as much fun as the paperwork for our mortgage. They’re supposed to have a notary come out to our house to watch us sign everything. I don’t know how the hell that’s going to work yet. I guess hubby is going to work that out with loan dude today. Once everything is signed and notarized we overnight the paperwork back to loan dude who takes 3 days to look over it and get our checks together, then he overnights the checks to us. It’s kind of cool b/c all the checks for the stuff that’s being paid off will be made out, I just have to drop them in envelope’s and mail them. I wasn’t looking forward to writing all those checks out, let me tell you, and now I don’t have to. 🙂

Anyway, *looks around* maybe I should see about getting to work. People are starting to trickle in now.
