My butt hurts. My work chair just isn’t soft anymore, the cushion is all smushed down. It was cozy when I first got it and now it sucks. My boss needs to invest in some new chairs.

Anyway, someone save me! Please!! I’m having to do the most tedious work today. I’ve gone through a 13 page list, comparing it to a spreadsheet. I’m done, but now I have to add all the missing information. *sigh* It’s Friday! You’re not supposed to have to actually work on Fridays!

Hubby decided to surprise me. He’s been talking about something he wanted to get me for a few weeks now. He finally got it today and told me what it is. Tickets to see the Hartford Symphony Orchestra on November 11th!! *grin* Now, anyone who knows me will know that’s the perfect gift! Do I have the coolest hubby or what? Now, only thing is, I really don’t have anything to wear to an actual concert like this! I need a little black dress, that’s one thing no girl should be without, and needless to say, I’m without one! I’ll have to go check the sale racks. 🙂

I’ve been watching the kittens in our webcam all day. Of course, you can’t see anything now because Sophie managed to turn the webcam around so that it’s facing the wall. *sigh* I had a feeling she’d do that at some point.

We’re getting a new mattress on Saturday night. Our mattress is a total peice of shit. It was the cheapest thing they had at “Bob’s Discount Furniture”. If you’re not from around here Bob is this big dork that sells really cheap furniture, I think our box spring is made out of balsa wood or some shit, it’s seriously cheap. Anyway, we’re taking a nicer mattress from someone hubby knows here at work. We’re borrowing hubbys dads truck Saturday evening so we can go pick it up. It seems kind of gross to take a used mattress, but it’s nicer than what we have, it’s free, and we know the guy, he’s clean and stuff. I figure it’s no worse than sleeping in hotel beds. I mean, if you really think about it hotel beds are pretty fucking sick. Now we just have to figure out what to do with our old mattress. We could give Sara a queen sized doggy bed! I wouldn’t wish it on another human, seriously, you can feel the springs, I have several blankets on it, underneath our sheets, that makes it tolerable. I doubt Sara would mind the springs.

Sunday we’re going over to hubbys moms house for a birthday party for hubbys grandpa. The last family gathering was awkward. I think hubbys mom explained to everyone that I have Asperger’s Syndrome. They were all thanking me for coming and some asked me if it was okay for them to hug me. Needless to say, that made for an awkward situation. It would have been much more comfortable if everyone acted normally. Hopefully everyone will be normal this time. I do appreciate that they’re understanding now though. This should solve a lot of the misunderstandings we’ve had in the past, with me not going to everything and not liking noise and stuff. Everyone thought I didn’t like them. We’re taking Sara to the party, hubbys mom has a fenced area, Sara can go and play with Daphne. Hubby has a cousin with a boxer too, they bring him to things quite often. I hope they bring him this time, Sara would have a blast! Two dogs to play with!! Actually, Sara is kind of a loner, maybe it’s our fault, we did socialize her with other dogs a lot as a puppy but probably not as much as normal people would. Sara likes to play with other dogs, but after a little while she likes everyone to settle down and chew on a toy, she likes to be with other dogs but likes to do her own thing at the same time. Daphne has a little too much energy and plays a little too rough for Sara, it gets to the point where Sara starts hiding behind people just to get a break from her.

We’ve starting walking Sara every night. Now that my cold seems gone I’ve started going with hubby. Sara loves it and it’s good for us too. I’m wicked out of shape. When I was in marching band I used to come home after school and work and go for a walk every night. I was in really good shape back then. I miss the energy I had when I was in shape. I could go and go. I’m one of those people that has to stay really active to stay thin. My whole family is overweight, I’ve always been about 10 lbs overweight, even when I was working out every day I was about 10 lbs over my ideal range. Heh, I’m a lot more than 10 lbs overweight now. *sigh* I’ve got to get my ass active again, it’s the only way, I don’t eat any more than I did before, I’m just a lot less active. I don’t think a nightly walk will be enough but it’s a start.

Anyway, it’s nearing 1:30, I should get some more work done.

It’s so hard to stay active! I sit on my butt for a living, and that drives me nuts. But then, when I come home and see all the stuff around the house I need to do, I don’t want to do it. Oh, well…..
