Remind me never to go on vacation again. Preparations are expensive!!! Of course, we would have had to buy all this stuff anyway, just not all in one weekend. We had to get pet food, oil, and the doggy diapers for Sara. I was shocked at the price on the doggy diaper. It’ll be worth it though. She really only pee’s submissively when she first meets someone, so at least after she settles in at like my moms house and stuff, I can just take it off her and toss it in the wash. I laughed when I saw the pads you buy for it. I opened the package up in the car and they were like panty-liners, “Yeah, right” I said, “these won’t hold enough”. I’ll be purchasing some cheap ass feminine pads from the store before we go. Poor Sara, I hope she’ll outgrow this submissive peeing. Hopefully she’ll look cute in her little denim diaper. It doesn’t look hard to put on or anything. Over the tail, under the belly and velcro on the sides. Hopefully it’s really as easy as it looks.

The kittens have been really cute this weekend. Their little personalities have really come out. Now I can start picking out which kittens would go well with which people. The person that’s chosen kitten 1 made a good choice we think. We’re keeping kitten 2, we just can’t not, he’s grown on us, I’m in love. 🙂 Kitten 3 really needs to go to someone who will only have him and no other cats. He’s gotten to be quite the loner and has a habit of growling at the other kittens if they try to take whatever toy he’s playing with. He’d probably be okay around older cats too, just as long as it’s no one who will want to take his toys. This morning he was guarding two toys in the hallway. hehe Kittens 4 and 5 are a little more rambunctious and would do good for people with multiple cats and who love to spend time playing with their cats, they need a lot of attention.

It rained a ton today, hubby wanted to change the oil in the car today but that didn’t happen. I’ve got to get the pool put away as well, but that didn’t happen either. I can’t do it on my own because there are spiders living under the edges. No way in hell am I fucking around with that thing with spiders all over it. *cringe* Hubby has to turn it upside down and get the last of the water out. Then we can rinse it off and dry it. I bought a tub for it at Target weeks ago.

Speaking of Target, oh my god I need some gift certificates!! k, everyone, my birthday is in December, get me Target gift-cards!! Yeah, right. Anyway, I saw some of the cutest accessories there, for once I actually saw some things that would actually go with our house. That and they have some of the cutest clothes and slippers. I picked up a new bra, which we won’t talk about, but I also got some of cutest toe-socks! I love toe socks, they’re soooo warm and cozy. They’re black and purple Halloween socks with kitties on them. 🙂 I was happy, all the other kitty socks I had got holes. I’m a sucker for anything with a kitty on it. Everywhere you look you’ll find kitty stuff in my house. My comforter, some light switch covers, decorations everywhere. Everyone always comments on it. I let hubby have some say in the decorations though. In our living room we have mostly black and white art. There’s a little shelf along the ceiling that I’ve filled with black and white cat photo’s, mostly cards and postcards actually. On the main walls are hubby’s “old dilapidated house” pictures. You’d have to see them, but they’re like actual photo’s of houses and buildings in ruin, they’re neat. We found them at a tag sale. I honestly didn’t like them a whole lot at first, but really, they’re too cool There’s a couple of hubby’s things sitting around the living room too, he just doesn’t have as much crap as I do. hehe. He also gets the final say in the wall color pretty much, I come up with ideas for colors and he picks the actual shade. I tend to like more modern looking things, this whole country ass farm house thing is soooooo not me. I’m into seriously modern stuff so the job of keeping the house in it’s time period is all hubby. Were it up to me we’d live in a huge modern-ass house. The country thing is growing on me though, I even kind of got excited about doing our kitchen up in chickens.

Anyway, 5 more days till our trip. I dug my luggage out, I’m going to end up using my real luggage, I couldn’t find hubby’s bag or the one Vicki soiled. I have a feeling they’re in the basement. So I’m going to give hubby one of my bags and I’m going to use the smaller piece from the luggage my parents got me years ago. I have a really nice luggage set, I just don’t use it. I don’t know why, I just don’t really care for it all that much anymore. I liked it when I got it but, eh. The cats also did a good job destroying it for me. When we lived in the apartment hubby lived in when I moved up here we didn’t have much for closet space with doors so my luggage sat out. The cats happily used it as a scratching post.

It’s kind of hard to believe this time next week we won’t be in CT, next Sunday night I’ll be typing my OD from a hotel in IL. I’ll totally be updating my OD as much as possible. I probably won’t do much for reading but I’ll probably do some writing and if I can I might post some pictures. I kind of doubt I’ll post many pictures though b/c we’ll be using AOL or something for a connection. It’ll be slow-ass dial-up *cringes* I don’t know about all the hotels but I made sure our hotel in Tulsa allowed you to use an internet connection.

Anyway, I should probably go for now. I’m starting to get sleepy, we’re watching something kind of interesting on the Discovery Channel, I don’t think I’m going to be able to stay up for all of it though.

g’night
