swendel

I didn’t sleep at all last night. Again. Stomach hurt. Again.

I think I have mentioned this before…..Im over it!!!!!

But gpoing back a little…Yesterday evening.

I went downtown and listined to some bands play with a friend. I had a great time. It was a Sunday night, so it was pretty laid back. It was nice. The music was fantastic. Kink Ador. If you don’t know them, then check em out. Just do it.

Here…  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHDXrlr7teQ

I don’t know how to add a video, so you get a link. Deal with it.

Shes so freakin cool! I love it when she plays the tuba.

Their from Nashville. And they are cool.

It was fantastic last night because there was an old guy who would randomly join in with his sax. He was cool too.

It was just a damn cool night. Really. I was shivering.

And then there was the old lady…Carrol.  She is always out and about. Dancing her heart out. I love it. Let me paint you a quick picture….I said older already, so you have that…like in her 70s I’d say. Long grey scraggly hair in a pony tale. No teeth…that I know of, and crossed eyes. Really short. Around 4’9…4’10…maybe. Last night she had jogging paints on up to her chest. she was also wearing sunglasses from time to time. I was honestly content on watching her. She was just happy, and enjoying the music. Content as can be. She could feel the music. I could tell. ITS SO AWESOME!!!! and she can dance too. She also liked my spider necklace I wore last night…so theres that! I should have danced with her, but I wasn’t in a dancing mood. I was absorbing everything from where I was. Perhaps next time I will dance with her.

Saturday evening….It was good. I don’t know if I mentioned this before but Warren invited me to a soccer game. He knows I love watching it. His team got to play on the "big field" after the match. He was so excited. It was too cute. I have to admit, I was just as excited as he was because I too got to go down on the "big field" to watch his team play. Sam came along too, and we did the whole tailgate thing before the game. I’m not so sure that I got the whole tailgate affect considering I was with a bunch of 10 year olds….but I had fun anyway. The game was good because my boys won, and Warrens team won aswell.

I found it a little hard to focus on the game though because of this guy…..

….He rocked back and forth the whole time he was sitting there. Now I know that he couldn’t really help it, and I’m not trying to poke fun…but the rocking was so very distracting…and it never stopped…well I suppose it had to when he got up to walk, but even when he was standing, he was rocking. I’ sure it was some sort of coping mechanism. I don’t know, It just stood out to my eyes. The yellow didn’t help. I was trying to decide if the rocking was from the fact that he may have been listining to music…I know its not my place to assume that…but he worked at the stadium, he was an event staff person, and I saw him earlier on and I don’t think he had the head phones on. He was friendly though, and thats all that matters. I don’t know why I felt the need to go into detail with this guy. He was just rocking. Thats all. But here is an example of how I get easily distraced with many differen’t things. Nevermind the fact that a pretty important game wis being played by my favorite team right in front of my eyes…theres this guy, and he’s rocking…hmm….lets name him and give him a story….and then photograph him and then edit the picture with a big red circle aound him with arrows that say "look at him!"

Okay, I think I done with that now.

…This was supposed to be my main focus…

….and this….

…as the team waits their turn to play on the field…

look closely and you will spot a yawner on the right. Not to be confused, this is a normal behaviour that occurs to 10 year olds when its past thier usual bedtime.

…and then the team makes it onto the pitch, but more waiting followed. What kind of crap is that??

Oh…well heres something to do while waiting

…..spot the real penalty spot….and pretend like its really happening!

um. Lost sight of where I was going…lost sight, sound…I lost a lot of things.

Okay. Going back to last Friday. A no school day. Yeah, one of those. The day started of cool and wet. I was not thrilled. I nearly had a melt down of sorts because our original plan was to visit the awesoe farm pumpkin patch place that had all the sweet stuff. Instead, I was stuck inside with the kids who only seemed to want to twist craft pipe cleaners into twisty spirals and then catagorize them and name them. Why was this fun? I have no fucking idea. I tried to encourage the to engage in another activity, I offered several ideas, but none seemed as thrilling as the damn pipe cleaner activity. I was going to loose it. I am not okay with staying put in one place for too long. Eventually, and thank God, the weather cleared up and I was finally able to get them out of their pj’s (this being around 3pm) and out of the house. We ended up being able to go to the farm. We had a lot of fun. I wrote about this place last year, and yes its still fantastic. I just can’t get enough of it. I love harvest time for this very reason. I ADORE THE PUMPKIN PATCH!!! I always have, and I always will. My favorite fieldtrip out of all the years I was in school, was the orchard fieldtrip in pre-school. It was extremely thrilling to jump around in the big barn filled with hay! And it was just as thrilling to jump in the hay on Friday. Anyway…pictures from Friday…

..I am still 100% convinced that the jumping pillow is one of the best inventions ever. ( my mind is putting words into warrens mouth in this picture. he is saying " reach for the stars" in his best Buzz Lightyear voice)

…Its serious business. You have to lean into your slide for best distance results. And make sure to always choose the slide on the right. It has a better slick surface. Follow these tips if you want to make it far in life.

…and for those of you who like to live life on the edge, remove all footwear. Allow your feet to wear thier birthday suit….look out pokey hay pieces, here we come.

A playground or beach may have sand, but a fam has corn kernals.

And frankly, the corn is more fun!

We spent a lot of time in the cage of corn. At the end of the day, I had corn kernels falling out of weird places. Evelyn had pokets full of them. It was worth it!

….high on corn.

We were all taught to say no to drugs, but I am here to say "just say yes to corn!

A word of warning though…..corn can become dangerous if not used right. You slowly begin to lose body parts from the toes up. Take precautions with each exposure.

….Limit and use sparingly for fun. If you ignore the warnings, you will become merely a head.

See?……..

…abuse the corn and this is what happens!

Don’t become a cornaholic. No one wants to end up just another head in a cornaholics anonymous meeting.

…Chaneling his inner explorer, Warren scouts the land in hopes to find a place to settle down for a while.

Im stopping here for the time being. I started this entry several days ago. On Monday to be exact. It will be thursday in ten minutes.
