catnesday.
This afternoon, while driving, I spotted a cat in a field. I came around the corner and was like KITTY!!! Naturally, my eyes went straight towards the cat, rather than the road. I’m not even sure how my eyes found it. The field was covered in dead tall grass stuff . The cat was crawling close to the road. I couldn’t just leave it there. I was one my way to pick up the kids from school, but I figured I would just have to put that on hold. I had a fluffy cat to save. I found a place to turn around, then spotted fluffy again, pulled over, and parked. I dove into rescue mode, not really knowing what I was going to do for the rescue. I made the kitty clicky sound, but it was afraid, I know because it said meow. So I figured the next best thing to do was to scare it away further into the field and away from the road. So there I was frolicking in a big field like an ass, flailing my arms. Several cars slowed down and I got a few stares, but I believe it was worth it! I’d much rather be stared at, then have to see an animal, (a cat non the less) being ran over by a car. After I felt like my rescue was complete, I hoped back into my car, and proceeded with my original intent. And I even made it to school on time! Score 1 for me!!
Earlier on in the day, I was able to take a nap for a little bit. I dreampt that I was on my way to Russia. I think I was going there to visit some sort of Russian Disney World. I had only just made it up in the sky in the small but awesome airplane I was in, but then I woke up. I was dissapointed because I was realy looking forward to my Russia trip. The airplane seats were really cool too! They were like individual seat capsuls, and it made me feel like I was in a rocket ship.
I took Francois on an outing this evening. My sisters boss wanted to meet him, she works at an Optometrists office. Luckily they were closing and didn’t have anymore oppointments, because having a cat exploring the office wouldn’t have went over so well with patients I’m sure. It’s not a normal place for a cat to be in the first place, but oh well. Francois cried in the car, and did his best job at making me feel like an asshole. I have a cat crate for him, but he wasn’t having anything to do with it. I thought I would be clever and make the crate nice and cozy with a little pillow and two towels, a teddy bear with a rice pillow inside its tummy for warm comfort, and catnip, but it still didn’t work. I ended up just carrying him to the car wrapped up in a towel. He was good at the office. He got love and exploration time.
Damn cats.
That about wraps up the story of my day. Such an exciting life I’m living!
and I am still being a christmas grinch.
