Sunday’s Superlatives

Thank you to all the people on the front line. From grocery clerks to Doctors. You rock!

Can’t believe I made it through the day without screaming. I am a homebody and I am fed up with staying at home,  I can’t even imagine how an extrovert is reacting. Think I will take Maeve, my corgi, for a walk tomorrow morning before the neighborhood wakes up. Then again… arghhhhh

Need a hobby. Any suggestions. I have coloring books and pencils but can’t bring myself to color. Bought books but don’t want to read. Used to read all the time then I taught English for almost 20 years and I read the same books and stories over and over, so now I don’t read for pleasure anymore. Sad turn of events.

Have 2 picture puzzle (find the differences) books in my cart on Amazon, but they are 10 dollars each and I can go through one in a few days, so not sure it is worth the money.

Has anyone heard a timeline for this to be over? I have not, but wondering.

Why aren’t people cooperating? New movies are coming out for rent but the rental fee is exorbitant.  Don’t they understand we aren’t working. You can go see a movie for 5 to 10 dollars.  I worked for a discounted theatre and matinees were 5 dollars but to rent they want  20. That is high to RENT, I think.

Watching Meet Me in St. Louis again.  Love Judy Garland’s voice. Trolley song is a favorite. Boy Nextdoor is on now.

High 60s yesterday,  low 70s today and 90 by Friday or Saturday. Arizona

Superlatives are hyperbolic praise and here I am complaining. I should change it but…

Oh, goodness I am going crazy. Just can’t do this much longer. HELP!!

I’m an introverted extrovert and I’m STRUGGLING with this too. I’m in the UK and they’re saying three months of lockdown. I’ve got an 8 year old and a 3 year old and it is TOUGH, man! When I need to reset and get away from the madness, I read or knit or write or play games on my phone.

I have seen on the news here in B.C. that there are a few movies you can stream for free and there are a lot of kindle type of books you can get for free also.  Not sure about the USA but check it out.

And here in Canada they are saying the longest this will take might be 18 months but I have heard that trump would like American life to re-start by Easter….Not sure that is even possible.  But I do know the classes have been cancelled till at least September and all course are on line and the Universities and colleges too.  I think a lot of Americans are becoming complacent because they figure their two weeks are up and they are virus free….Me I am going to stay close to home till this has flattened the curve.

Oh my gosh, that is a high price for movie rentals! YouTube sometimes has interesting free movies, usually made for TV or classics. 🙂 Also, libraries usually have free DVDs in the regular world – I wonder if some don’t have an online option for movies these days? Gaia TV (Gaia.com?) has some really cool movies too, and I heard Circus Soleil has been doing free online shows, and museums have virtual tours…

As for hobbies, how about writing a book about your life, or something else? I love being at home, but I’ve also been “meeting up” with friends and family online all the time, watching movies with them, playing online games with them, etc. In a way, I’m more social now than I’ve ever been haha.

Correction: Gaia has videos, like video talks, yoga, meditation, etc, not movies. Sorry. But I know there are websites out there that stream some free movies.
