Well it’s been a long time since my last entry so I  thought I’d update a bit.

The talent show went rather well.  My son didn’t suck and he wasn’t the worst act by far.   His little flute playing actually sounded nice.  Maybe it was the auditorium?  I was very proud of him.  I brought him a plant and my sister gave him a balloon and a card.   We didn’t think it would be cool to bring a bouquet of flowers like the girls were getting.

Tomorrow night we are going to an award ceremony the city is having.  Some fifth graders are getting an award and a savings bond for being good kids.  I forget exactly what all it says.  Seems Matt is the only one doing anything lately.

AJ loves school.  I think it’s the electives he gets to take and the girl he hangs with. 

The hubby started working again last week.  I wish he’d find a better paying job, but at least it’s something.  This time a friend of his is babysitting and she’s not charging anything really.  I feel like we’re using her.   I’m glad there is only a few weeks left of school.

I’m going to look at an apartment this afternoon.  Not in the best of neighborhoods, but definitely not the worst we’ve seen.  This city sucks.   I’m not doing my kids any favors by keeping them in these schools like they want.

I’ve heard from some people back home recently.  Seems things still aren’t that great there.  Lots of major stores haven’t  opened up and the place is trashed.  Bad sorts of people are moving into the area.   Rent has nearly doubled.  Lots of jobs, though.

Work is going OK.  I’m off today.  I live for my days off.   Especially when I’m the only one home 🙂

I’m just so stressed out all of the time and tired and worried.  I know others in the family are too, but hey, I’m a "me" person.   Always have been, always will be.

Went to my sisters after work to have a drink yesterday.  Seems I do that quite often.    I’m becoming a lush.  I could go for something blended and yummy right now.  Maybe something tropical with lots of rum!  Yum.
