Hu Ke Lau

Our last night of school was May 21. I knew I would be getting trashed and took the next day off and made plans to stay at Nate’s. But Nate had something to do for work (or so he told everyone) so he didn’t even go to the last class, which was at the hall. So I told him to meet me at O’brien’s afterwards so I could follow him home. The last class was obviously a joke and it was only like an hour long. A good sized group of us headed off to O’brien’s and we were there by like 7:15. I was a little bummed out because I knew I would have to wait there for Nate until 10:30… and I was hoping I didn’t end up waiting by myself. I chit chatted with Kyle and Ryan from my class and also teacher Mike. And then Collin and Steve were there as well. People seemed to week out relatively quickly and we were left wth me, Mike, Steve, Collin, Eric (2nd year teacher), and one or two other guys. Collin was talking about getting a divorce from his wife most of the night and I was telling him to make sure he thought things out before he did anything drastic. Finally, I got a text message from Nate. He said he was tired and that he wasn’t going to go to Obrien’s but told me to come over whenever. So I finished my drink and got up and said, "see ya" and Collin and Steve got pissed! They were like, "Oh Nate texts you and you have to go and run over there" and I said, "Yeah I do. I’ve been waiting for him to get home." And they were throwing a shit fit so I laughed it off and stayed and had one more. Before I even finished another one, Collin got up and left. So I hung out with Steve and had my leg wrapped over his. He is never touchy feely flirty back but he never stops me the once in awhile when I am. We both finished our drinks and I left. So I ended up getting LOST driving the 8 miles to Nates but I did get there eventually.

I woke up the next morning on his couch and to a text message from Steve that said, "Wake up. You’re buying Nate and me breakfast" and i told him that we were both sleeping and to fuck off. haha. So when Nate woke up I mentioned that to him and he laughed. Then a little while later he says to me, "Do you wanna go have breakfast?" and I said I would go with him but I wouldn’t eat anything. And he said to forget it then. Then shortly after that, Steve called me and we chit chatted and Nate suggested we meet Steve at the Denny’s in Chicopee. So I told Steve and he said okay and Nate and I headed out. We waited in the parking lot for Steve and when he got there, the guys decided that since it was 11:45 in the morning they didn’t want breakfast. So we went to this place like a half mile down the road called the Hu Ke Lau. It was like a kinda fancy Chinese/Polynesian type place and apparently they have comedy shows there. I saw an advertisment for Mike Epps and then some other famous guy… and I did a little research online and DAVE ATTELL is going to be there in August. Im so fucking going to that. Anywho, after lunch (which i didn’t eat) Nate and I went back to the house. After we were sitting there for a little while he looks at me and says, "You’re welcome to hang out as long as you’d like…" So I ended up staying there ALL day and spending the night there again. I got home the next day at about 12:45 or so.

I was supposed to go watch the fight with D that night but I took a shower and flopped on the couch. I kinda like when I’m not home for a day or two, my animals love me. Cira curls up by my feet on the couch and Giovanni sits on top of me. D ended up going golfing at 4:00, stopped home at like 8, took a 2 hour nap and then i woke him up so he could go watch the fight.

Sunday I decided to go to East Longmeadow to watch the guys play softball. So Im about 50 miles into my adventure and I get on 91 off of 90 and im heading towards exit 1 when the sky turns BLACK. I get a text message from Karin, who was going to meet me for the game saying, "I dont think I’m going to go, it’s thundering here." and I let her know where I was and about the dark sky. I also said I was already so close I was going to head to the field anyway and I would let her know what was going on. She told me to let her know either way, she didnt want my trip to be a waste. So I was driving down the road that the field was on and a HUGE bolt of lightening flashed across the sky. I got a little ticked, but when I actually got to the field, they were already playing their first game. So i stood and watched them CRUSH the other team and then went and hung out with Steve while the other team was warming up and our team had to wait till the next game was over to play their second. But then the sky broke open and it start POURING. So we all hid in our cars to wait to see if the rain let up. It didnt… so we all went to my teacher’s old house for a BBQ. It was… interesting. His ex wife and two daughters came over at different points. A little awkward for me… but whatever. he isnt my man.
