Life is Great!

#25 from the Tao The Ching by Lao Tzu (translation by John H. Wu)

There was something undefined and yet complete in itself,

Born before Heaven-and-Earth.

Silent and boundless,

Standing alone without change,

Yet pervading all without fail,

It may be regarded at the Mother of the world.

I do not know its name;

I style it “Tao”

And, in the absence of a better word, call it

“The Great.”

To be great is to go on,

To go on is to be far,

To be far is to return.

Hence, “Tao is great,

Heaven is great,

Earth is great,

King is great.”

Thus, the king is one of the great four in the Universe.

Man follows the ways of the Earth.

The Earth follows the ways of Heaven,

Heaven follows the ways of Tao,

Tao follows its own ways

I like all but the king I think life would be a better word in the spot life is king and man.

Hence “Tao is great,

Heaven is great,

Earth is great,

Life is great

Thus, Life is one of the great four in the universe

Life follows the ways of the Earth.

The Earth follows the ways of Heaven,

Heaven follows the ways to the Tao,

Tao follows its own ways.

-you see it drills down then builds up, i like it that way, unless you happen to be the king. if i am the king i like it even better then that. but then i would have to pass the greatness test mnnn,

To be great is to go on, ( i do seem to be going on here)

To go on is to be far, (i have been far)

To be far is to return.(and i have returned, what do you know i am great)
