Today’s prompt was to either take a photo of something old, or post an old photo…

Well, unfortunately, I don’t really have a whole lot of old photos here, as my Mom has most of them at her house.  I was able to get a picture that is posted on our family tree website.

I have a lot of good memories of our family reunions on my Dad’s side at a lovely lake cabin in Vermont.  I haven’t been able to go in a few years, but hopefully next year we will be able to go.  Anyway, they have been having these reunions for years and years.  I’m not sure when they first started exactly, but I do know they have pictures going back to the early fifties.

This is a picture of my Dad and several of his cousins, along with his great grandmother.  This picture was taken in 1956…my Dad is in the next to last row, next to his great grandmother, to the left, and his sister is to the left of him, on the end.  This picture cracks me up, because my father actually has hair.  He’s as bald as a cue ball now.  Heh.  Sometimes when I look at our old family photos, I wish I had lived during the fifties…I don’t know why.  Simpler times, perhaps.  I’ve been longing for simpler times lately, wishing I was back in my childhood again.
