Wasn’t I just saying…

that patience is not one of my many virtues?

The universe, which sounds an awful lot like a therapist, is saying, “Well, I am glad you are able to recognize characteristics in your personality that you would like to improve upon. Perhaps you should try using that self-awareness in a proactive way by applying it to some of life’s challenges. What is an example of something that would try your patience the most? Having your IVF cycle delayed again? Great! Let’s try that and we can discuss during your next visit. Time’s up!”

One of the four eggs I started incubating last cycle did not dissolve all the way, resulting in a small cyst on my right ovary. The Dr. assures me it is nothing to worry about, and should resolve itself by next month. However, he did not want to proceed until that happens in case it got in the way and tried to suck the life out of any other eggs we tried to grow. Like a vampire cyst.

Word on the internet is that these cysts can take a few months to resolve. That or they don’t resolve at all, swell with fluid, and painfully burst.

So, until one of those three options occurs…we wait.

The only good news is no drugs or injections until Day 2 of the next cycle.
