something scary
In the midst of my recent crisis of self, I have been doing a lot of random OD reading…for a number of reasons that relate to escapism and avoidance. However, I have stumbled across several incredibly inspiring female writers that make my heart swell in reaction to the feeling of an incredibly cosmic connection.
The most recent of which was from a writer who is the editor’s choice: Heartsandheads. I stole the following quotes from her entry titled "Getting Naked."
"All I’m saying is, you’re such an energetic person. You’re so smart, and you have tons of potential to do. Anything. But you have to do something. Just jump."
"Do something that scares you. ASAP. Or you’re going to regret it. You’ll look back when you’re 80 and wish you’d posed nude. Or took a trip alone across the country. Or finished your long-ass degree. Or quit a secure job for a less-secure, but more interesting one."
Snuggling on the couch with my fat, cuddly kitty, I am incredibly inspired to live my life with a little more abandon and to do something that scares me.
And perhaps to re-read "Succulent Wild Woman" by Sark. That book was once my bible and I think it has a lot to offer me just now.
