Follicle Counts

I am getting anxious.

Oh, who am I kidding. I feel like I have been one big ball of anxiety for over a year now.

The reason for my current anxiety is follicle counts. Never a phrase I thought would come out of my mouth…err fingers? Low follicle counts sound like something a balding man complains of. Help, my follicle counts are low! Ha! Not so funny when we are talking about my lady follicles.

One week out from the tentative week of retrieval and my follicle count is low. They started me out on a low dosage of hormones because I am so young. However, at my appointment today they found 5 follicles on one ovary and only 1 on the other!

5+1=6

They are upping my dosage of Menopur from 2 to 4. I will take 4 Menopur tonight, 2 Menopur tomorrow morning, and another 2 tomorrow night. I have another ultrasound/labs appt Wednesday morning.
