YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Today was our first band competition of the season. We travelled 3 hours to the competition site, where, to be honest, we weren’t sure if we’d get a one or a two. Thank God we had a blue sky, because we were expecting to march in snow/sleet – it was in the upper 30’s!

We went out there and did the best we possibly could, and WE GOT A ONE!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSS! This means we get to go to states. I’m so proud of our accomplishment – the only other time our band has been to states was 2 years ago when the weather was so bad that the district people attributed their bad performance to the weather. (Actually it had been one of their best…) With Mr. V our new conductor and all, this is just the start of an AWESOME AWESOME band!

I’M SOOOOO HAPPY! C’EST BON! OUI! ACH JA! ICH BIN SO FRÖLICH!

Ok just had to get that out of my system, hehe…

I guess we had the first *official* snow today, although it was more like sleet, and, well, I want to see snowflakes if it’s going to snow dang it. Of course, I’m talking too soon, because according to the forecast I will be brushing it off of my car before school on Monday. Oh yippee joy joy. I’ll want snow after Halloween, thank you VERY MUCH. When I can actually take my skis and hit the slopes! Or get a really nice snow day out of it or something…

Alas, the lake is relentless in it’s quest to bury us all in snow. (Wow, didn’t that sound cool?)

We added a few more verses to the infamous, “Hoorah for ******”! Oh, I guess I haven’t posted any of the verses in here, have I? I’ll have to do some editing if I do, but perhaps I’ll give you all a little enjoyment…
