welcome to my dorm room
So, that happened. I really have no other way of describing today. It was very long, it was very hot, it was very… strange? This is strange. This sitting in my dorm room typing… this being 5 hours from home, knowing I won’t see most of you until December… my family until November. This having no parents and no curfews and no real rules that I’d ever have a problem with.
In fact… this day sucked… and then it rocked. All in one. Of course.
Tonight after our dorm meetings, there was this late night party-type thing out behind Shriver, so Meg, Keryna (sp??), and I walked around for awhile… found Steve and Chris… Mark too. Ahh, the magnet of home friendships. That was a little weird for awhile, but eventually the three of us branched off and walked around. So I hung out with Meg all day? But anyway, we ended up talking to these guys that were wearing balloons on their heads. I should expand on that. At this party-type thing, there was a guy blowing up those long balloons and making hats and animals out of them. The guys were wearing them… and the 3 of us ended up getting them as well. Eventually about 5 guys and the 3 of us walked back to their dorm (the arts dorm), where we hung out, listened to music, and listened to them jam. Crazy. I ended up with musicians, of all people. Jazzers no less. Talking about things and people I didn’t know about… I felt right at home. 😉
Anyway, didn’t get home until around 1:45 – 3 of them walked us back to the dorm, which I thought was rather nice of them.
So here I am, at college… we’re the first to go.
My room is sweet though, I must say that. I’ll have to take a picture of it and post it or something.
G’night.
Yes, take a picture of it. I would love to see it!
