welcome
I have discovered just the most amazing invention. (welcome to the 21st century, self) Podcasts. So you mean to tell me that all of the radio shows on NPR that I love but never catch (unless briefly while driving in my car) I can actually download to my computer and my iTouch and listen to whenever the moment strikes??? Brilliant!
So I downloaded Diane Rehm and the News from Lake Wobegone and Speaking of Faith and Fresh Air and Car Talk and Science Friday (I’m VERY excited about science Friday). AND free Mandarin Chinese lessons. Did you even know they had podcasts to learn Chinese???
Have I been living under a rock? I mean I’ve known about podcasts… but radio is kind of a recent thing for me so I never thought about getting into them before. And I believe that I like radio better than tv.
/gasp
Mmm Garrison Keillor’s voice is very soothing. Chris doesn’t like the tales from Lake Wobegone – I find it hysterical.
But anyway, I am just now learning about this amazing phenomenon. A couple months ago I learned about vlogging. Vlogging?? What a bizarre word. Anyway, it was right around the same time I really first used YouTube. (Seriously have I been living under a rock?) The really sad thing is I’m in IT… it’s my job. I’ve turned into a rather pathetic nerd, haven’t I? Can I even call myself a nerd anymore?
sigh.
(indecision)
I actually just got into podcasts too because I got sick of having to listen to the conservative radio station that my coworkers have on all the time. I can only take so many nasally voiced white dudes dissing Hillary Clinton a day. I don’t like her much either, but it gets old. I also download a lot of NPR programming (Talk of the Nation, baby!). I love NPR, it’s like crack for my ears.

Also, I highly recommend the Onion Radio News podcast. They’re only like a minute long, but they’re hilarious.
