The two most feared words of winter…

Lake effect.

Hehe… gotta love it. Except it’s separating me from my sister and stopping my dad from being able to drive and get her from college. Meanwhile it’s absolutely gorgeous!

Sure, lake effect is a pain… totally. But in the early parts of winter it just makes everything so white and magical. (Ok so by March it stops being white, turns into a kind of never-ending brown slush with piles of snow everywhere from cleared parking lots, thus making it not magical at all…) But for right now! It’s gorgeous, it’s happy, and I just want to go out there and make a snow angel!

Lately I’ve just had this craving to have a date, for one. But I don’t want to go see a movie on that date, I want to just go to some park somewhere and make snow angels and a snow man and have a teasing little snowball fight. Wouldn’t that be totally romantic and sweet?!? *sigh* No luck there, as I don’t have a date, and even if I did I probably wouldn’t be allowed to go make snow angels in some park.

Snowball fight anyone? *starts to pack a nice big ball* *looks from side to side* *finds victim* *takes aim* *fires!* Hehe, he’s mad now… *darts behind a bush* I’m being ambushed!

Wow I’m a dork. Virtual snowball fights with myself… yeah (my name), you’re a loser.

Sometimes I wonder why I’m so finicky about not telling you all my name. Some of you know it anyway, if I talk to you on AIM or whatever, but somehow I refuse to give it up here. It’s like my usual screen name – I refuse to put that in here too. Like it’s possible to stalk someone from their screen name… hehe. I guess I’m just weird like that.

We’re supposed to get 4-6″ tonight in addition to what we have. It’s good in a way, but it’s very bad too because driving becomes dangerous. We’re thinking of postponing Thanksgiving dinner until Friday so that my sister and my grandpa will be here and all.

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
And pretend that he is Parson Brown!
He’ll say “Are you married?”
We’ll say “No man,”
“But you can do the job if you’re in town…”

Right, but see, I don’t have a snowman, and there is no Parson Brown, and you know what? I highly doubt either would marry me anyway. Lol.

I love how during the winter you don’t need lights at night. The snow is so light and the sky is so cloudy that you can see perfectly outside no matter how late it is. Then again it’s only 6:30 and it looks like it’s midnight… Ahh well.

I live by Lake Erie, so I have learned to deal with snow. I still hate it though.
