the first date

So tonight was definitely our first date. Of course, it was my first date ever… but it was Nolan and my first date. We went to Arabica… not the one in this city, but the other one… some of you know what I’m talking about. I got chai (but of course… 3rd night in a row), which he paid for, and then we both took our coffee/tea/whatever and walked over to the park where we sat and talked for… well a long time. Kind of another one of those crash courses in each other. We don’t really have anything in common except sax and writing… that and a love for nature. He loves nature as in hiking everywhere and camping… I love nature as in photography and just… surrounding myself in nature. At any rate, it was nice to just get to talk… and sit there… and just talk.

When we finally left the park, we drove over to Borders to see if any live music was playing, which it wasn’t. He teased me that I could get another chai, lol, but I didn’t. We then drove over to Civic Center, where we took a walk around the bike path. Mind you it was pretty dark, and there was fog everywhere. Even a bit nippy… but there were lights on the path. It was just so… lovely. He had his arm around my waist as we walked and talked. After he FINALLY realized how cold I was, he held my hands to warm them up, and rubbed my arm… it was just LOVELY.

Eventually we decided to call it a night, and he drove me home. He walked me to my door (aww) and hugged me… and then I kissed him goodnight… *sigh of contentment* Lovely. Did I mention he opened the car door for me every time? And closed it too? Aww… ok I’m just so ~swept~ at the moment.

And you know all of my flipping out and mood swings and all that? Cured, I tell you! I mean, sure everyone’s attracted to more than one person at a time. It’s a natural thing. But Nolan and I are working out… somewhat different that what I had expected… and I really like him. I can easily ignore everything else. I want to see where this goes… because I like where it’s gone so far. 🙂

Do you realize that my 500th entry’s almost here and I haven’t mentioned it at all? Yeah that’s because I don’t know what I’m going to do. Not a clue. I mean, I know what I WANTED to do, but there’s no way I’m going to be able to do it. Back to the drawing board…
