the email revolution

I am inviting everyone to help me in my quest for an email revolution. Forwards have a time and a place, but they can become overwhelming and repetitive. (especially when you receive the same one from ten different people)

I have started to write emails to many of my friends. I began an email to most of the recipients in my address book telling them that I am sick of emails and am looking to simply “write” emails to people. I then continued to just write to people to whom I had things to say. It’s amazing how thoughts can flow so freely in this rather remarkable form of communication. One can become very contemplative while typing to a close friend, and it can be enjoyable.

The response has been overwhelming so far. Many of the people have not only responded to that original email, but have initiated their own written emails to people. It’s actually exciting to get some REAL MAIL once in awhile, and so I am inviting you to help with my “email revolution”. Please email some people from your heart, not just forward them emails that will most likely be deleted. Use your imagination and WRITE SOMETHING. And of course, don’t forget to have fun!
