the attendance guy

Yeah, so it’s weird. I continue to pass him everyday as I pass the attendance office. Sometimes I wonder how truly psycho I am, being so intrigued by someone I’ve never met but see every day of school.

His name is Dustin. The yearbook is a great thing… you can always find who you’re looking for. “Stalker!” you say. Not completely, I’m not. Um, yeah I mean, so I looked in the yearbook to find out what his name is? It’s not like he’s never heard my name… he hears it every time I need a pass after being absent. I figure if he gets to know my name, I get to know his, you know? (Ok, well he probably doesn’t remember my name… but stil.)

So I assume I wrote to you about the library incident? Well now that because of band I’ve switched lunch mods, he eats 9-10 with us, or at least one of those mods. When I say with us, I just mean we’re all in the student center at the same time – he doesn’t sit WITH us. I saw him standing at a table sort of next to ours today, and I couldn’t help but to glance over a few times… you know, just to see. Thought I saw him glancing my way, but then again, it’s a big area, and he can look wherever he darned well pleases.

I don’t even know why I’m so obsessed with him… it’s mostly just the way he looks I guess. He’s not a knock-out by most people’s standards, I guess, but he’s striking. Really. I guess it’s also the way he always looks so in control sitting/standing there – like a staff member, but not. Monday morning when I went to get my pass, he gave it to me right before the bell rang. The next kid came up, and Dustin was like, “where’s your pass? if you signed in to homeroom already they were supposed to give you a pass…” He was totally yelling at the kid! It was so cute, because I didn’t have a pass either, and yet he totally didn’t even mention it.

Lol, I remember the first time I was absent last year. I didn’t know what to do, so I walked up to the window and starting saying “I was out sick (monday and tuesday?)…” He just kind of rolled his eyes and did that hand thing which means “get to the point”. Eventually I figured out all they cared about was my name, so I said it and got my pass. I felt like a true scroph – and a major dork. But ever since then I’ve been mesmerized by this kid, and I keep hoping to have some reason to talk to him other than saying “(my last name)… thanks”. And of course, since I am the “dreamergrrl”, I always hope that maybe he notices me, which of course he most likely does not… but you can always dream, can’t you?

I wonder if he’s smart? More investigation needed, lol.

Oh my gosh, your entry was just on the main page, you know, in that “random excerpts” section. And I was like COOOOLLLLL

I know how you feel. I used to be intrigued with this guy at the coffee house that I never met. And he wasn’t particularly cute, just..striking 🙂 I love people like that.

Dustin is a good name.

and this is why i havent been absent yet…~me

i can relate to this entry – it’s always fun to fall for guys you don’t know – they’re the easiest to fall for – b/c you don’t know anything about them. ask around – see what you can find out!
