So mad, and so annoyed

I spent last night over at Jaimie’s with Aims, Jess, Ann, and Eric (who left at about 2:15). First of all I will tell you just how pathetic I am. At various points in the evening I wish I wasn’t even among my friends and wished I was at home online. Yes, I am that pathetic.

But I guess I had a reason to not want to be there. It seems like Jaimie’s changed so much. Either that or my perception of her has taken an extreme u-turn. Perhaps it’s a combination. For some of the time while Aims was sleeping a little, I was sitting there and Jess, Jaims, and Ann were kind of all doing their thing – sort of excluding me I guess. It’s hard to say. But the thing is, I don’t ever get annoyed by Jess or Ann… just Jaims. She’s always either semi-making fun of one of us, being totally not serious, or complaining. It’s just so annoying. After awhile we all played full contact scrabble… lol. Well, almost. It was scrabble anyway, and I don’t care how nerdy it sounds, but it was a blast. (Especially at 1 or 2 in the morning!)

Earlier in the evening we were inevitably talking about band. Jaims, Jess, and Ann can’t stand Mr. V. They’re so lazy or something. They don’t want to work at all and think all these new ideas are ridiculous. It’s like they don’t care at ALL how good we are. (Of course they’re sure we’re going to suck anyway…) They were talking about how they’re in band for the friends and to have fun, not because they love band. Ok, that’s fine in itself – I’m in the band for those reasons too. But I also want to be a danged good band. If we’re good, we’re going to have more fun than if we’re bad. Ann and Jaims were saying how they want to be in the fall play, and if he doesn’t let them because of band rehearsals they’re going to be upset. Ok, first of all, band is a class they’re taking… for a grade. Theater, while I’m not saying it’s not important – geez, I love to act – isn’t a class. They’ve committed their time to band already.

The worst part is, we don’t even need them. They could quit, and while I would miss them a little, the band would most likely be better off without them. Jaims and Jess couldn’t play trumpet if their lives depended on it, and Ann is a bad flute who’s basically playing cymbals in the drum line. So I don’t know whether to just put up with their complaining or tell them to just quit if they don’t want to work. Jaims was saying how she probably wouldn’t be in band next year anyhow… Geez, it’s so wierd, cause band is practically my life!
